Interlagos - Brazilian Grand Prix 2009 - Race 16/17

Stunning from Barichello. I really hate to say it but if he wins tomorrow, I think he will come through and take the title in Abu Dhabi. Button is just crumbling - although he's driven ok in the previous few races, it's been a tale of two half seasons, he was in a different league for 6 out of the first 7 races and hasn't looked the same since.

...for the first time I think he may lose the championship.
For the first time, yeah. I mean it very likely that RB will at least be on the podium with a good chance for a win. And Button? He'll be doing well to score!

The delta now is 14 points, RB need 15 more than JB to win, that could easily be 7 or even 5 by the next race. Even with a DNF, Button is still the strong favourite.

That's a nice shake up, could make the championship very interesting, however, if the race is that wet then who knows what will happen, it'll be more like survival of the fittest than anything.

Just wanted to echo the "Well done BBC" comments, good on them for sticking with all that. :)

See ya all tomorrow, im off to watch the rest of X Factor.

Not if he carries on like this, that was terrible

barri will be light on fuel though

Button is simply chucking this away, great shame. But fantastic performance from Barichello at the end of this season, if his does come through and win the championship then it's thoroughly deserved.

Great qualifying :)
Glad to see Barichello on pole, hoping he can win tomorrow and Button a DNF just to take it as close as possible in to the last race

I actually want Rubens to win, so that it can then look like a bad move for Ross to ditch him and get someone else

I never thought of that before. I wonder quite how much Rubens' experience and setup work contributed to Button early on in the season?

Fantastic result for Barrichello, great to see Button finishing down in 14th too.

Button just isn't championship worthy in my opinion, and is only where he is because of the huge advantage he had at the start of the season with his car. He has been useless since then whereas Barrichello has been more consistent.

Realistically this is Barrichello's last chance to win a championship which is the main reason he gets my vote.

That mistake not going on the inters was a definite Honda type mistake they used to do, which I hoped had been sorted by Ross :(

He has the most wins and points, why wouldn't he be? Would someone else with less be more worthy then?

He had the advantage at the start of the season with the best car,he hasn't done anything since then. If all the cars were then what they are now then he would be lucky to even be in the top 5 of the championship.
