Intermittent Crashes shortly after Booting

Bought a new motherboard (b grade one from here). System now working, or at least it will be once I repair windows.

So it was the motherboard.

Seems I might have jumped the gun. So, built the pc last night using new mobo. Fired up straight away but had a thromby tying to load windows. Understandable I thought given that the mobo had changed (even if it is the exact same model). Anyway it wanted a windows boot disk to repair the MBR. Didnt have one to hand so made a usb boot drive today at work.

Came home expecting plain sailing. Booted from the windows drive expecting to be able to point to the usb stick to repair. Just got error 0xc0000221. Tried to boot from the usb drive. 0xc0000098 this time.

Disconnected all other drives. No change. Disconnected the windows drive to see if this changed anything. Still got error 0xc0000098.

Went and had tea. Came back. Pc now won’t even get into the bios, no matter what drives are connected. Tried 1 stick of ram. No change. All it does now is locks up with a spinning circle on the post screen.

Any ideas? On the verge of throwing it out the window.

Cheers but its fairly pointless now. No point sending it to you when I have confirmed its dead. Working ok so far with the new b grade mobo.
Sure I understand, it was more that I wanted the e-mail so I could find out why the department didn't reply so it doesn't again to anyone else.

RMA'd the PSU as it was in warranty. Seasonic have confirmed it as good. So that now just leaves the CPU...

Had a snout around online for an old Xeon to test but nothing dirt cheap available and tbh after 3 months of ******* around and having also seemingly wasted £130 on a second x99 motherboard I've lost interest.

New Ryzen setup inbound for me next week.
