International matches 6th-10th **Spoilers**

Don't think he has done alright. Against this level of opposition he should have done much better. I do think he would struggle against better teams. i guess we all view player perfomance on what club shirt they pull on. No hand bags please just a thought

He hasn't been bad tonight at all, made a few goals and created a few more golden chances for Crouch et al. you can't expect that much more from a winger really, especially one who has been as heavily marked as Walcott tonight, it was crazy the amount of space there was on the left compared to the right, Ashley Young had about 30 chances to cross in 1 half

Got to say that on the whole I am impressed with Capello's reign thus far. Imagine this game under Sven or McLaren. By Halftime they would be showboating and loosing concentration. He is making sure that there is a steely discipline about this squad. With 80 minutes gone, you had Lampard and Becks chasing back and closing down. It can only be a good thing that nucleus of his world cup squad get as much game time together as possible.

I was speaking with one of the development officers at Manchester FA the other week and he was saying that he is very strict with the players. No headphones, no baseball caps and now wags are allowed. The team, the coaches and everyone down to the kit man all eat together. Team meetings are scheduled to start at 11.00 and you are considered late if you are not there for 10.45. The players know the boundaries and what exactly is expected of them.

To think Croatia knocked England out of the Euro Qualifications and we are now 10 points ahead

ITV commentators said they were saying shoot, obviously urging him to get a goal because he was playing so well.

Fully agree with your assessment. Ages since an England team have been this professional. Roughly same team as sevn and Maca had what a difference.

Sven did a much better job than maca ;)

Capello has yet to have been tested in a major tournament so we'll wait and see (-qualifying stages)

England have been unlucky with regards to draws in major tournaments. We didn't play badly when we lost to Portugal on penalties under Sven, just unlucky in my book. Ronaldo getting Rooney sent off didn't help either.

Not denying it was a sending off :)

Dispite going agaisnt everything ive said, i agree with you.

But in a major competition i think capello has more in his locker than those two.

Even though it was against dross, that was one of the best England performances I've seen in a long while, mainly because we've struggled v teams who simply want to defend against us. It was entertaining too.
Tonight there were no signs of the frustration that's plagued us recently and we played with confidence.
Becks had a good game without running around everywhere, if he keeps himself fit his place in the WC should be nailed on even at his age.
Young looked very bright and linked up with his namesake well, Rooney had his football head on.
Lamps was faultless and I thought Johnson was outstanding, he's grown up big time.
There were a couple of players who should've done better against that sort of opposition but all things considered it was good :)
