International Space Station Overhead tonight - twice

You lot need to go out one night when its clear to the country side.. You can see 10 times as many stars. Plus you will see lots and I mean LOTS of satellites flying about the night sky. I have seen at least 6-8 tonight juts looking around.

Everynow and then when my Tscope is set up and im looking at the moon or other planets, I get one zoom past my viewfinder.. pretty weird.:)
Try doing that in the Australian outback. My viewing location > yours :p. No lights (never mind street lights) for miles, and southern hemisphere (where you see more of the milky way anyway) to boot.

Sadly it was only for one night. :(

Anyway, it was too cloudy, ISS was too low, and as someone else pointed out, would have been almost eclipsed at that angle. I will catch it one night. :)

For tonights viewing. The path and location and where to look. Weather permitting of course.:)

I have added the path the ISS takes and circled all important information in red so you can compare to your location. If you want to give me you location I can add it to this program and it will show you where you should be looking.

Im off to work at 11:30 this morning so be quick if you want a pic of the ISS path in your town.:)

What program is that droolinggimp?

Starrynight.. Its really good. Lots of info on everything.:) On clear night I can point my Tscope at a point in the sky and see a bright object and look on this program and find out what it is. Fascinating stuff.
