Neil79 - You're over-analysing mate. So you gave her your number... Big deal. She either wants you or she doesn't. When I was internet dating I was regularly in contact with and meeting several girls until I found one that I liked.

My advice to people is to stop worrying so much about if they are saying or doing the right thing... Be yourself and the ones that are compatible will like you the ones that aren't won't. It's as simple as that.

Great advice. Far too many people believe they have to appeal to everyone and get uspet if they're rejected. So what, there are thousands of potential partners out there so even if 9/10 aren't interested that still means there are hundreds that are :)

Good advice. I'm getting the feeling that some guys here are straying into the 'desperate' category and nothing is more off-putting to a girl. Just chill, be yourself and when you least expect it, it will happen.

As for numbers, I sent mine to my current 'internet' girlfriend saying. 'I won't be around a PC for at least two days as I'm going away. Here's my number, 078 xxxx xxxx, surprise me with a text if you wish, if not, we'll speak again soon :)'. Low and behold, text comes through 2 hours later. Always keep it light and friendly, never back her into a corner or be too overbearing.

This. It's easy to assume that because you've shared a few messages/emails/texts then you actually know that person, but in most cases you've never met or actually spoken to them so they really don't know you - and are therefore still open to interpret your actions in one of many ways.

Form what I remember SS is lovely and I'd be happy to take her out if she wasn't miles away.

Chin up SS. Without any question you're more genuine, attractive and sane than most of the women online. Get a profile written and uploaded and find someone you deserve :)

Yep my current lass im with, it was about 30 mins before she gave me her number...great because id rather not sit and email for days on end...thankfully she agreed with me on that part.

Next day we met as we spent a fair good time on the phone talking to each other...dont see the point in wasting time if you like each other and have things in common tbqh.
