My summarisation so far..
Met three,
****ed two, one may as well have been dead, the other pretty good.
One ran off. :D

One day back in 2001, I was in my 'regular' chatroom when I started talking to an English girl. We became friends and continued to chat almost daily.

I had always wanted to see England and she Canada but being young, money was an issue. Trips suddenly became quite affordable when you didn't have to worry about accomodation so we decided that I would come to the UK for a couple weeks and I would stay with her. In return, she could come to Canada for the summer and stay at my place.

Needless to say, we hit it off and then spent the next couple years flying back and forth every three or four months. She ended up moving to Canada as soon as she was done uni and then two years ago, we moved to England.

Not only is that girl I met in a chatroom almost 8 years ago now my wife, but we have the perfect type of relationship that make most people sick.

I thought I'd give this a go to help my desperatley poor love life and I have a 'hot date' with a rather cool girl I've been chatting to tonight so wish me luck people! :D

Just a quick update - been on 2 dates with the girl in question now and it's going very well. I'm out again at the weekend with her.

That's a lovely story :)

Thank you!

However, I did intentionally leave out paragraph upon paragraph about how difficult it was to make the relationship work because of the distance.

Even now, we're currently waiting for my Leave to Remain application to be approved. Then in another two years, I get to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain... and then a year after that, dual citizenship.
Then, once we move back to Canada, we have to start the whole process over again so she can get dual citizenship.

Isn't Canada one of ours? Can't she just wave her passport declare that as she's English, part of Canada is hers anyway, drop into the conversation that she knows the queen and job done.

My uncle and aunt moved from Scotland to Canada. My uncle bothered sorting out a duel citizenship thing out but because he was married they didn't bother with my aunt as it was really pointless in the end as there married so it counts for the pair of you.

I think, could be wrong I did know for sure about this about 5 years ago.

when some see's on someone profile

Plenty of Fish randomer said:
Do you want children? Prefer Not To Say
Do you do drugs? No

Do you have children? Prefer Not To Say

Do you have a car? No

Do you just think that means yes they have kids, anything other than No just means yes in my eyes.

The do you want kids question needs to have a "at some-point" option.

Putting yes might make people think you want kids with the next person you are dating :s
