Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Well this is a new one. I was chatting to a girl who then did the usual disappearing trick. Meh, next!

Cue today nearly two weeks later, a message asking to chat and saying she has had "computer problems". Errr no, it's the cheek more than anything as obviously her iphone & pc died at the same time :/ Next!

I was in that situation once too, where the woman had virus problems on her computer, and it was genuine so don't be too hasty to knock it.

Of course, but I think you missed the bit about her also having an iphone that she uses.

Well, she text me at 6:48am this morning to cancel because her sister is visiting from Devon and meeting her mum but "could we do something in the week?"

So, half asleep, i text back "No prob, speak soon. Have a good weekend".

Seriously, women, can't fathom them!

Bah. :/ is she worth the effort?

You shouldn't roll over like that...at least make clear the disappointment and messing plans around isn't on. In a friendly way of course, not like an ***.

Erm, i think so, from what i know about her (minus this fickleness with contact), she's one of the better ones!

Well, seeing it was her who asked ME out, you'd think it would be game on but noooo..

I honestly don't care, i have LOADS on my plate at the moment.

Ah... the last minute cancel. I never assume a date is actually going to go ahead until I'm sat opposite the woman!

CliffyG - give me a shout next time you're in Cam if you like. I work there, don't live there either but I'm up for a drink one evening if you like?

Did I just ask you out for a date there!? o_0

;)

Haha im not that desperate yet mate! I prob wont be in town until june now. Actually have a hectic social schedule for once this month.

9/10 if a girl cancels on you in the last minute, then she has secured what she considers a better potential than you are.

Well then take it slow and easy if you get a chance to meet see how it goes but put yourself first and look after your priorities. :) you're too nice a guy to be messed around like that. :)

I have to say im having quite good luck atm. Met a girl on POF, who turns out went to the same primary school as me, just a few years older thats all, been out with her a few times, everything seems to be working out well :D

Who knew internet dating worked, it only took 12 months of being on pof!

Thanks Will! :)

If only girls find "nice guy" as the No.1 dating criteria rather than a friend criteria then I would be swimming in ***** lol

Ah you see, women *say* they want a nice guy but I've hypothesised that baser desires override this, such as physical attributes, so I've heard of women go out with absolute idiots instead. Le sigh.

Oh, i known that for years. Hell, i even got them to admit it. :p One of my friend who looks like Audrey Hepburn even told me in person.

Hah, sounds about right. I had a lengthy discussion about this with a friend at uni and considered turning into an ******** for a few weeks to see what would happen. I didn't have the balls to go through with it in the end, but it would have been interesting....

What we want isnt necessarily a bad guy, but we want someone with an opinion who doesn't just lose that opinion when it comes to women. I want someone who's going to go "So I thought we could do this...." rather than "I'll do whatever you want" aaaarrgggghhh!!!

Its along the lines of I want someone to pick me up, throw me over their shoulder and drag me back to their cave (in the hypothetical sense :D )
