Well I'm fed up with girls that seem nice IRL but treat me like ****, so I thought it can't hurt to try and get to know someone properly before jumping into a relationship :)

Young girls are like that, just have some fun, 19 is no age, you are young pup. Problem is meeting people at your age, everyone is drunk as **** is not a situation to meet people your love.

I am 28 and foreveralone but I never let it get to me, you cant, life is too short, just get on with it, if I meet someone so be it, I am looking but not obsessed about it.

Exactly the issue, I want to meet someone who I won't feel awkward waking up with the next morning (I get this all the time with randoms, it's not that they are munters, far from it, but I realise how little I know about them and it just feels epically weird :/

Stop being a sensitive little ***** and enjoy sticking your willy in girls your age. You've got plenty of time for a relationship after uni or whatever it is you are doing. This is coming from someone who's been in relationships since 18.

That's the problem though, I prefer having that sense of security that being in a relationship provides. I know I sound like a complete wet hen but that's honestly how I see things, I don't want to go out and shag some random bird, I want to meet someone who I enjoy spending time with and feel happy with :)
 
Shayper, have fun. Seriously, i've got a guy at work whose your age and been in a relationship for 1 year now and is "in love" with her, i've nearly convinced him to get rid of her and enjoy his youth like me and do everything in sight.

Little advise - grab a blackberry as BBM is a portal to women!

As I said before, I honestly prefer being in a relationship to going out every week, getting rat arsed and pulling some random bird who I probably won't ever speak to again. I had enough of that at Uni.

Christ I guess this is what growing up feels like :D
 
Shayper, do what i do then. Have a bird on the side for "relationship" side of things, other then that, do everything in sight.

They will come along, if they dont, you can always buy that feeling with some prozzie, get a hobby that females are involved, its always a great way to meet someone, I went along to a athletics club open day and got chatting to a few girls socially, never went back because I was an idiot and wasn't fit enough :mad: . Just try anything, if it doesn't work so what.

If you are looking for love, you are lucky will ever find it in a nightclub in Britain, its all about shots and how drunk you are now now, my parents met in a famous northern nightclub in the 70s, people just danced to motown and had the odd drink, they would then meet up in the week in pubs.

Culture has changed, more chance of meeting some girl in a quiet pub or supermarket than you are in a nightclub. Its all about the balls and making the move, so what if it goes, you are will probably never see them again see them again and so what if you do, least you had the balls.

Ah, again, not my tastes :)

I am living my life to the full at the moment, I just wouldn't count doing everything in my sights as something that appeals to me anymore, I'm more interested in being happy I guess, after some of the stuff from the last year :D

Exactly, which is why I signed up for POF :)

And it's not that I don't have the balls, it's just that the girls I meet in clubs are never the same the morning after, as in not the same person you thought they were the night before

I am not the same person the night after, who isn't? waking up buzzing still drink, normally takes me midday to hit the depressed phase, get home, oh god so ill, then thinking what did I do, middle of the week, never again, weekend comes around.....
