Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

I've had 3 dates off Match since joining last Friday. One of them I'd like to take things further. As in a 2nd date at least. She is keen too. Problem is, I'm not sure what to do for a second date. We met last Sunday afternoon for lunch and spent 6 hours talking and getting to know each other. We cannot do that again. Now, we're meeting up again this Sunday afternoon through into the evening. We're both based in London so there should be a plethora of things to do. Preferable something where we can spend time talking too. So movies are out.

Any ideas?

3 dates since friday? are you bloody shaft or something??? :p my 4 dates in 2 years is starting looking incredibly poor. I am a bit of a niche product though/chinese.

So depending on the type of person she is and what time you're actually meeting, here is a list of things I would like to do/find cool:

the wellcome collection
science museum/NHM
Tate modern
There's a graffitti exhibit on shaftesbury avenue for team robbo but i'm not sure that's there anymore.
The rain room at the barbican. (get ready to queue for hours, plenty of time to chat)
Lightshow at southbank
brick lane for junk shopping - mainly a morning/early afternoon activity though
Regents park for a nice walk.

All of these things are close to decent places to eat/drink. This is all I can come up with off the top of my head.

If you want something a little more generic, bowling in finsbury park - can go to the faltering fullback after which is a cool pub with a tree growing through it.

I think I may have a rethink and another go... Only managed to meet 2 girls from match. Sad to think of the many messages and many views that only 2 wanted to meet.

Not the best looking lad, but certainly not the worst, slightly overweight too, but I'm such a nice guy, down to earth, know how to make them special, the lot! I guess my personality will be the winner, but most people now go for looks! :(

Basically yes, your pictures will be looked at first before even a word of your profile is read, so all the personality in the world won't help you I'm afraid, if your pictures are bad. (Well from what experience told me of my test of these dating sites)

Thanks, good suggestions. Was thinking South Bank myself so will check out the Light Show and if it's a nice day, a walk along the river afterwards and then find a place with live music.

God dating is hard graft.

Anyone heard of GingerLine HQ? It's £50 a head and you get a text message at exactly 6pm on the night telling you where to go. Could be anything and anywhere along the East London Line, from an abandoned underground station, inside a naval submarine, a Victorian shop, a circus, etc etc. weird weird locations but it's all about the food and she's a foodie.

Good idea or too much for a 2nd date?

For £50 a head it hopefully wont be a dump. I think its an interesting idea. Pick a pub and meet there for 5 ish. Then you can guess where it will be and have a laugh :)

Well they come quite highly recommended and have been reviewed extensively, but I'm darn picky with food and wouldn't want to be served boiled ape testicles just because it's 'cool and different'. I'll think a bit about this one.

Just nicked another broad for Friday night. Mailed her last week and heard nothing and chalked her up as a Fail. She just got back to me tonight and we're meeting Friday night. Judging by our convo so far I won't be waking up alone Saturday morning either

She's from Denmark.
