Wow you guys are harsh! Stop hating on the big girls. It's what's inside that counts, and yes I know how gay that sounds but I don't care!

For me it's not really them being big that's the problem. It that they pretend to be slimmer due to a lack in confidence. Some even post old photo's, like the first person I met up with. She was a size 12 in her pics but an 18 when I met her. I didn't recognise her in a bar of 3 people!

She later said the pictures were 6 years old!

If they admitted they were big, it would be no problem. It's them lying that they aren't big.

Fat girls disgust me, I can't help that. Sure they're all 'nice personality' and all that jazz, but the physical attraction has to be there.

point being, a girl who is a UK average dress size of 14 might actually think shes average... but to some of you guys here, size 14 might be considered fat or massively fat.

some people see themselves differently to how others see them, they might not always be lying...

Truth be told, barring some exceptions, the people who go looking for girls should be ****ing pleased to get a size 14 LOL.

They have the option to put 'need to lose a few lbs' or something like that, which you'd think would be obvious when you can see their rolls of fat, size 14 or not.

Am I the only one choking on the irony of people being rude about girls who are not supermodel thin in an internet dating thread?

Come on guys...

I Think you (and others it seems) have missed the original comment. Fat lasses trying to pass themselves off as not fat lasses.

I'm not slating them for their size, just for lying about it.

Harsh? Are you honestly trying to argue the natural decision on what you find attractive? It's not just what's inside that counts.

I cannot have a relationship with someone my brain finds revolting.
This includes fat people, the obviously fat people.

We can't help it, we are all born to like and dislike strange and wonderful things, I'm attractive to some people and ugly to others.
Some very attractive people (VERY ATTRACTIVE CAPSONEONE1111), date people some of us would find complete eye-sores, you wonder how it happens, simple.
Beauty in the eye of the beholder, just like that. Doesn't matter how you look to what you find attractive.

I don't fit in some exclusive group of people who can't be called ugly, nor do fat people.

I was having this debate in the pub with some female mates yesterday, as you do. It's a simple fact that as harsh as it sounds, the physical attraction has to be there or it's not going to work.

MisChief's point is true though. A lot of people might consider the 'average' aka size 14, to be fat. Others don't. Of course it's all personal preference, but if you're not a fan of the larger lady (or whatever physical feature), none of this 'someone who loves me for who I am on the inside' talk is going to make a difference.

I've noticed a preponderance of girls who describe themselves as 'curvy', 'cuddly' or just an outright 'BBW' on PoF too. Now I've nothing against larger ladies - some of my most serious girlfriends have been around the average 14-16 range - but what I LOATHE on these sites is the horrendous double standards from girls.

What I mean is they describe themselves as curvy or cuddly in their description on their profile, then post the best myspace-angle pictures of themselves to make that appear true. Then, however, they start rabbiting on in their profile about how they want a tall, well-built guy with a six pack when it's like HELLO?! Have you looked in the mirror lately love? Really grinds my gears that one...

Oh christ, look what I've started. I've not come across any people I'm interested in that have lied with photos. I suppose it helps I've only been on a few days and just waited for messages to come to me, I only messaged a couple myself. Maybe northern girls are more honest about themselves!

Of course there has to be attraction, that's how these things go, but some people do have really high standards and it is an online dating site after all. The stigma will always be there but I think I'm doing well so far, I've connected with a couple of girls and it's just a case of meeting them now.

Why, are people on dating sites not allowed opinions?
