Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

True but why would she need to have friends over to drink again after just a few days ago having a birthday party drinking session out in town.It seems to be a very common place in this country.
I like her personality and she looks ok to me but cant help but have these fears because of an ex. We haven't yet gone out on that date we are due next week
Perhaps its a different set of friends who did not attend the birthday party?
I think your being overly cautious about this, which is perfectly understandable. However, just because she drinks more than you it doesn't mean its a problem, as you yourself say its a common thing in the Uk and she will likely grow out of it. It could just be that is the stage her friends are at and because that is how they choose to socialise she is simply going along with the group.
If you otherwise like this girl then give her a chance to show the person she is, don't go looking for issues that may not be their. All said and done, its a date and you dont owe this girl any commitment so do your best to have a good time and if this is something you cant get over then politely move on.

I have a work mate who tends to be out friday and saturday night pretty much every weekend. I was never like that at that age so I don't know if that's the norm.
I'm not a big drinker so I'm happy with a big night out somewhere nice every month or so. Otherwise I'd rather be doing something fun then stuck in a pub every weekend.
Just see how the date goes. If she shows up sloshed then you know she's probably one to be cautious about

He seemed to really struggle at just the thought of not drinking for a month. After we split I decided to steer clear of alcohol for a while. Initially said a month ended up doing it for 3!

I have been out weds,thurs and will be heading out tonight for birthdays all involving drinking and 5am finishes. I dont drink all the time but things always seem to come in three's. She is 24 and enjoying herself, if it concerns you then you she obviously isnt right for you as she sounds like she loves going out. The drinking to vomiting just sounds like she is rubbish at handling her drink or binges too much which is worse than frequency of drinking.
Well MatchAffinity are doing a free weekend. Thus far I have found lots of girls that want to chat and can actually form a coherent sentence. I've had more interest in 24hours on there than months of PoF. At the moment I'm chatting to Lawyers, Doctors and Consultants.... time will tell if it all amounts to anything.
Just checking this out at the moment, the best but sadly most disappointing feature is the Weight part on the profiles. So many 'Rather not say - Curvaceous' women. Is it so hard to hit a damn treadmill once in a while and try to look after your body? /le sigh
Just signed up to it, and to be honest... hiding your picture? Honestly I've got friends with amazing personalities, but that doesn't change the fact that I would never get with them even if they like me in that way. Why add another wall? So it takes longer to get conversation going? £££

my story
i had tried, [not seriously] inet dating, but also just got one word answers most of the time, pointless, i wasnt really desperate or anything but just thought id try it, time passes and i just didnt really bother with it, not giving up just cba anymore
where i actually met my gf was random and not planned, it was on an f1 forum, we got chatting etc etc moved to the instant chat on the forum, then msn, then texts, then phone calls then we met a year after she joined [stupid girl met me without telling her parents in my area [180 miles from her] at a bandb i booked, she wanted a single room too, i couldve been anyone really]
to cut a long story short, we have known each other for 3 years been together for 2 as gf+bf, meeting on the forum we like the same films [iron man, rec, tron etc not girly stuff] like f1 but different teams, hate programs like dancing and popstars, both like clubbing, like the same music, dance, rock, lady gaga [went to see her live together..ace!!] hell we both like robot wars!
shes also really attactive, green eyes etc just my type, we have a few differences obviously, she cant swim, lol but overall, compared to most couples we know, more similar than 90% of the couples out there, i consider myself lucky, really would never have thought someone like her would go for me, looks wise, i was more nervous when i was going to meet her, wouldnt even believe she liked me when she said cause i thought she was just being polite, thats how unconfident i am, only believed it when she was on the train home and text me saying she wanted to meet again
one very important point, we both have no interest in kids!

Grrr, getting really annoyed at this!
*Every* girl I meet that I like wants to pop out a couple of sprogs, and as soon as I find that, I obviously put the brakes on it as it doesn't interest me at all.The new lass in my road is a no go for this reason.
Going to spend the next year getting my place sorted, getting fitter and investing more time in my music, then I reckon I might have a think about looking seriously.

but in my defense I had a headache which turned into a full blown migraine so I end up in my room with the lights off trying to sleep it off because I felt so sick from it can't do it tonight because I'm house/niece/dog sitting and tomorrow my bro in law has bought me a ticket to join them at something so I won't get back until the late afternoon lol.al4x that's a bit mean that you think its funny she can't swim. I can't, well I learned a couple of years ago but I'm a very weak swimmer and could only do it for a short space of time. Teachers could never be bothered with us, parents were too old to help and I found it embarrassing learning in front of so many others. Only got to learn because we were on holiday and had the pool to ourselves.

this really is an important point, she likes her animals and thats good by me, [we both have crabs, rare to find a pretty girl who is nice and doesnt want kids
