Internet Dating.....Who Has Done it?!

Just out of interest, howm any of you lot date more than one person at a time? Do you date on person until it either works out or fizzles out and move to the next one or do you date any number at the same time and see who lasts the longest? If you do the latter, do you tell them that you're dating other people?

I am dating as many as possible until I find one to settle on. To be honest I am not really up for something long term, just dating and meeting new people.

Generally I'll only date one person at a time until I know if it's going anywhere. However I have had up to 3 first dates with different women within a few days.

If it's the first date I don't tell them unless it comes up in conversation.

I stick with one till it fails then on to the next one.

I tried that but for various reasons it's been very difficult to arrange a date with one woman. I initially told her that I wouldn't see anyone else until I had met her but after having waited so long I now have another date lined up so could potentially be seeing two.

Have you done the speed dating at the B Bar?

Nope not been into cambridge for a while, 20 quid taxi back kind of puts me off! Its on a wednesday isnt it?

I think so... wondering whether it was worth a shot although I'm rubbish at small talk.

Don't think I have found one woman I remotely like the look of on Match affinity. Waste of £14

Not really, at least you know now whereas before you didn't!

I am dating a new one a week, got another date for next sat and hopefully just setting up another for the weekend after.

Friday i date the newbies and saturday i will take out the others if they get a second chance. (unless that or i hve other plans)

all part of my plan!

You are quite literally 'the dude'.

I date newbies in the week. It gives me an easy option to end the date early if it's not going well. The old "I've got work early" line.

Friday and Saturday nights are for contestants who make it through to round 2 :)

Yeah me too, couldnt do it without at least a couple of drinks, at which point i actually become quite good at being able to make conversation with the ladies.

This is the trial after the weekend, the normal cost is daft. Why the hell do they blur everyone's picture and have to ask for permission...

Isn't Affinity the one that's supposed to match personalities rather than just picking the fitties? That'd be why then ;)

Match is bobbins in either case.

Must be, but I aren't going to be emailing someone who I am not attracted to at all. Maybe that can happen in the real world but not over a few emails.

Completely agree, it's not shallow to require a physical attraction initially at the very least.

In other news, lass I was chatting to of PoF turns out to be someone I've both met & spoken to previously in real life, (although not an awful) lot through a contract I occasionally covered for a few years back.
She hasn't messaged back since I told her I'd realised this (she looks very different) so I guess that sums up my customer relations skills at the time, hehe :) She was one of the less pleasant ones to deal with at that company, and I'm sure I pointed this out on occasion, oops!

A non-internet date this weekend which somewhat bizarrely I'm more worried about. Real world consquences I guess, but hey, what can you do.
