I had just woken up at 6am prior to a days skiing in France so wasn't ready for a photo shoot. However I'm really not photogenic so I'll take what I can get lol.
I don't get this, first I had someone in Uganda look at my profile, now someone from Sweden and someone sent me a message from Plymouth... I LIVE NOWHERE NEAR THESE PLACES!

I'm not sure about people just viewing but with regards to someone messaging you from far away why not set your profile to a limited area? Are you on pof? If so you can set it so that no one over 75 miles can contact you.

This is on Okcupid, the only site where I've actually had Dates from. PoF is set to my Area. I just find it amusing really.
I've sent messages to people outside my area, I just consider it being a bit nosey and practice banter.

Well.. I've decided to hide my POF profile and give online dating a rest for now.
It has become such a chore and I just can't be bothered to talk or meet anyone anymore.
I'm supposed to be going on a date tomorrow, but I think it's probably best if I cancel and say I'm no longer looking

Snap! I try and every time I come back its the same result. I don't have many options through working away which is why I come back each time. One day someone will look past the obvious and see a reasonable chap. For the moment I'm getting tired of everything going ok until the better deal comes along and a disappearing act is pulled.
On the plus side I get to spend more money on gadgets and turning the house into more of a man pad

Just noticed some of the changes that PoF has been making, like trying to hide the last online feature by making you buy membership (when it shows it on the sent msgs page). That's rather low in my book, not to mention it doesn't do any real matching, think I won't bother recommending it to any one.
Aye, I regularly get girls from Wales, London and Newcastle on my 'My Matches' page - all of which are at least 100 miles away! Still, it's perfectly good as a free site, I'm chatting to a few girls at the moment, all of which I'd consider to be on the upper boundry of me league, so it's doing a good job of massaging my ego if nothing else!
One less girl now... I tried to send her a brief yet highly amusing message in reference to something specific on her profile, but was told that "This user does not accept messages this short". It also says on her profile (like a lot of profiles) that "Please don't just send me 'Hi' as it's boring and I won't reply".
So I took the time to pen a decent message, didn't rant on but I put some effort in including asking her what she's doing at the weekend amongst other things, and this is the total sum of the reply I got:

Well last night was a massive success. We got to the restaurant by 20:30, i dont think we even ordered our starters for an hour as we kept chatting and didnt even look at the menus. At 11:30 they brought the bill over without me asking for it and i looked around and we were the only ones in there. Went back to hers for an hour, chatted some more then i got a kiss goodbye. The whole evening just flew by. She looked gorgeous too. Very happy at the moment.
