** INTRODUCING 8Pack EXTREME SYSTEMS - THE FASTEST OFF THE SHELF PC's!! **

The first SuperNova may well be over 5ghz now ;) we gaurentee at least 4.9 with at least 2400 RAM. Often RAM will be 2500 though.

Where are these bundles you talk of?

Either way I don't want a bundle, I just want to be able to buy binned CPUs, RAM and GPUs!

See 8packs link, I'll have my bundle up and running tonight/tomorrow, I'll be reviewing it to show why the premium, then early next week I'll be pushing it hard with some newly acquired psc dimms* :)

*with some pointers from the big man himself hopefully :p

Which bundle did you get?

hmmmmmmm I will try mate but I am away from today for several days at an OC event abroad.

First pointer for PSC -100!!! ;)

Haha it's not quite winter in Scotland yet! It's ok I won't have the sticks until the middle of next week, aiming for 2400 tight.

The 4.6+ extreme bundle with a z87x-oc and waterblock :) - I really should check if I have some fluid at home though

Does it mean when you buy Oem chips from overclockers you are getting the rubbish chips as all the good ones have been cherry picked already.
This is what I was about to say as well, I'm guessing all the OEM chips will all be tested, and if they know the exact batches - the specific retail chips will be held back to...

No way I would buy a CPU when I know for a fact I'm gonna have no chance whatsoever of getting a great CPU.

Pretty much :p

To be fair, it is a random business so odds are it's never been tested. It all goes off sourcing good batches as the big man said

edit - /hugs oem 2700k :p

Wow, these are special.

Well done OCUK/8Pack for creating something even a die-hard like myself would buy.

Having gone through the pain of building a custom loop system myself, I don't fancy doing it again !

For those wondering about the price tag, a lot of custom riggers (like me) will drop £6k on a rig, once you add on the cost of the Titans, you get to £9k easy.

No!!! They are system stocks not website stocks that are tested and binned accordingly. With chips that dont overclock well going into stock systems.

As we actively seek the best batches through binning for our full range of systems.

I would not buy also.

Another good reason to build your system yourself. Though even then you might get a just as "Bad" CPU, especially with haswells.

Or you could pay to get a proper one like the ones in this thread with 100% certainty.

That said, my system is a prebuild from ocUK and it clocks just fine.

I will never buy OEM chip because of non-sealed box and only 1 year warranty. I rather a sealed box with 3 years warranty on retail box. Better price that way for longest 3 years warranty.

great looking systems and the level of support you are offering is great to see. i like the upgrade support too, free labour, just materials. is that in house or shipped back to ocuk?

saving up time. i like that supernova beast!!

Damn that makes me want to try how high my chip would go at 1.25v.

Though, if what you say is true it has already been tested not to be good enough, since it is from ocUK.. :)

Then again, I guess 4670k's aint worth much since all the true clockers use 4770ks.

OcUK only test OEM chips, we don't build with or test retail processors (unless a stock PC with Intel cooler). The OEM chips we have on-sale are also un-tested.
I won't allow any testing of retail chips simply because testing 100 CPU's and if they only get 10 units, means we have 90 B-grade CPU's or even if they class them as OEM, all of a sudden we have 90 CPU's more than we should have. As such retail chips are un-touched!

The reason for this is now we've become a very large SI and as such for our SI stocks we purchase separately and are located in a different area within our warehouse for products like CPU, RAM and graphics which are for system builds.

Example the graphics cards we use in systems are the same as retail versions but supplied to us in bulk packaging to help save on cost.

That is what i have been doing since i found out about the cherry picking of chips for the last 3 years.

Even the basic speeds are immense.

Even with your CPU's that you use for your LN2 overclocking, what would be the absolute maximum?
