** INTRODUCING 8Pack EXTREME SYSTEMS - THE FASTEST OFF THE SHELF PC's!! **

Or rather than stating speed cant you just say

4770k will boot at 50x multi @1.25v (hyper threading off) rest on auto.
The rest is up to you! Only £295

With the above you would not be guaranteeing speed/stability.

1.25v 5.0ghz chip is a £700 + VAT chip to any competitive bencher. Not £295!!. These are 6.3-6.4ghz LN2 chips and there are many people I know who would pay this. These chips are so few though and we need a pool for the highest end systems.

Out of interest how you get hold of good clocking CPU's? Are they specially sourced or just cherry picked from the OcUK stock and the crap clockers get thrown on lowerr spec'd bundles/systems.

Cherry Picked, Find good batches and source more of those, then test and test again.

Since Ivy we have been very on the ball with binning.

This is even more necessary with Haswell hence with our systems and bundles we are far ahead of the competition.

Damn that makes me want to try how high my chip would go at 1.25v.

Though, if what you say is true it has already been tested not to be good enough, since it is from ocUK.. :)

Then again, I guess 4670k's aint worth much since all the true clockers use 4770ks.

Madness but I won't buy it because the parts sound like minus to me. Should be biggest than that. £9,999 is too much. But overall, good work ice pack 8. I rather use £9,999 for a new car instead.

^ see the extreme bundles ;)

And 4.9ghz on a stock lid 4770k holding some 3ghz tuned memory is damn impressive!!

Where are these bundles you talk of?

Either way I don't want a bundle, I just want to be able to buy binned CPUs, RAM and GPUs!

Very nice work. It's obvious a great deal of thought and planning has gone into this product line launch by all involved.

As a flagship range this really looks the business and with the after-sales support and upgrade path sets OcUK apart from the erstwhile competition.

The only way we could do it would be as a bundle, CPU, cooler, motherboard at the minimum. Just selling a CPU these days guaranteed at 4.8 or higher is a mindfield as the other components have to be up too the task, especially cooling, motherboard and psu. Maybe one day we will.

In the past it was easier, especially Athlons as we were allowed to modify them by AMD and offer the service. Now unfortunately Intel do place restrictions upon us of what were allowed to do. :(

Intel are going backwards now. No wonder I stop buying it now. The best CPU I ever had from ocuk and rjk is Bloomfield i7 920 cherry picked and now my current i7 2700K overclocked easy at 5GHz.

I already saw people spending more than £20k in 3 hours on drinks, 9k on this PC is nothing :)

and the worst thing is.. they didn't drink even half

If I wasn't getting occasional problems (which appear to have stopped atm) I wouldn't bother upgrading from the 920 for a few years yet. Even if I don't have USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb :)

Can we ban those who keep asking if anyone pays 9k?

I'd be tempted if I could, thats for sure.

We cant ban em no!!!

But people do hence the product. Now they know for 9k they are getting the absolute best not only in terms of performance and finish but service and long term commitment too.

I haven't had a chip that can't do 4.6GHz+ - I think it's pretty rare to get a realllly bunk chip that can't do it at REASONABLE volts. I just wish I had 9k though... a 3930k/4930k at 5GHz++ with tuned memory... A boy can dream. :p
