iOS 5.0.1 goes live

interesting that its a different build number to what was sent out to devs (and those in the know)

Will see if it makes any difference as for me BETA 2 did nothing at all that was noticeable.
 
55MB for 4S. Doing OTA update of course :)
Would've been nice for a warning (that it was released) on my phone or something but oh well!

Got a pretty good idea of how my phone battery lasts, hope to see a difference. 23% right now..

(Just got an error while it was trying to get the ETA. Trying again and its come up with the ETA is <1min so hopefully its working now!)

I've seen reports that it pops up as a badged "1" on the Settings.app but that was immediately after a restart so I'm not sure what the process/time scale would have been without that restart.
 
Second error "An error occurred downloading iOS 5.0.1"
Settings or close.. Hmm

Settings just takes me back to the same screen again.

Restart and attempt 3. Surely it can't be failing because it's not plugged in and is on 22% battery! And fail.

Just spoke to a couple of people, they are all getting errors with OTA.
Mines all done and dusted, full charge is now in progress.
 
OTA not working on my ipad or iPhone, weird!

EDIT: Turned on my MiFi and it worked from there.. my net is weird recently so.

OTA update downloaded and installed on my iPhone 4 while at a friends house over his wifi. Fantastic!
