Did a full update rather than risk OTA as people have had problems.

Forget downloading it in iTunes, it'll take an age, just grab the files from the direct links listed here - came down at full speed for me.

Some things are just quicker with Siri, such as "remind me to call Dave at 3pm tomorrow". There's no way you could manually set such a reminder as quickly as it takes to tell Siri to do it.

Indeed, things like setting alarms too - it's just plain quicker to say "wake me up at 8am" than to set it manually. You can also use it for music, such as "play some Pink Floyd" etc.

Setting an alarm or starting a countdown timer are the other two things I use it for so far.

Ah well I did have a play with my mates and for the 10 mins of playing with it I couldn't find a use for it. I do set calendars but never tried that type of command.

I use Siri for alarms and reminders but mostly for when i'm playing music in my headphones. I can simply hold down the play pause button and speak into my mic to get it to call people etc.

Don't have to take my phone out of my pocket. Perfect

iPad 1 and iPhone 4 both updated fine OTA here. Now to see if apple have managed to fix the battery issues!

Updated my iP4 over OTA - no issues with the update process.

I thought this was supposed to fix the bug which causes the 'Setting Time Zone' option to track location all the time, though? Even with 5.0.1 I have to keep that option off, or I get the location icon in the status bar all of the time.

Updated my 3GS lastnight no problems.

Did it USB'ed to my laptop though, not OTA. Do you have to have wireless sync turned on to use OTA ??

Hopefully my 3GS speeds up a bit now.

Updated my 4S last night, then fully charged to 100% and disconnected from the power before hitting the sack.

This morning it was on 98% and showing 6 minutes usage which is far more reasonable than it used to be. Will see how it goes from here.

No you don't. The whole point is that you can update your phone without needing iTunes.
