I have the iP4 but love the reminders when you get to certain location and everything else it comes with, my brain is fried most days from work so any help is a bonus....

I thought the "download just what needs updating" standard for OTA updates was meant to allow people on limited data plans to download the updates (unless they stupidly put the 20MB limit on the OTA updates as well).

OTA update went well on my iPod touch 4G (the file was around 41.1MB ) and it at least means that I don't have to worry about the failing battery on my laptop.

didnt fix the battery issue on my 4 day old 4s. lost 50% of battery overnight. gonna get the phone swapped out by voda and see if that fixes it...

Definitely still screwed. Left phone on charge all night but the second I took it off the dock it went from 100% to 97%!

Mine is better - stays on 100% for longer - battery is probably better than my 4 and I have everything on.

See after a full drop and full charge, the figures and polling is certainly different.
With an ipad2 the battery was superb at the high end on 5, hopefully 5.0.1 is as good or better.

I choose not to do an OTA. I did a full restore and my battery life is brilliant. I did a full charge from 8.30 in the morning yesterday and its at 32% now. I only have email notifications on though mind and I have hammered Badoo!

I did it OTA and didnt think twice about it, on my ip4 and ipad2.
Worked perfectly. Might aswell give it a go!

Battery life on my iPad2 is longer since the update too so thumbs up from me. Hmm to buy an iPhone 4s or something else next week. I want to believe the battery will last a full day without charging but everyone seems to be having widely different experiences in this respect.

yeah its improved on my ipad2 can't say i notice it much on the ip4, deffo not getting a 4s now as it appears to be even worse

Done my first sync with 5.0.1 on a 3GS and it's lost all my apps and podcasts trying to restore it now...

Edit: cant get any old .itl (previous itunes library) files to open in itunes to restore it, excellent.
