iOS 9

Installed on iPhone and iPad with no problems, along with further app updates on both.

Can't say I'm a fan of the app switcher either - to my mind the open apps should sit, ideally in the order in which they were opened, on top of the home screen. Not with the home screen on top ...

Yes it seems completely backwards to me. It actually seems random in the order once you have a few open aswell?

Feels like they had to find a way to Force Touch app switch and this is what they came up with, without realising it's more awkward for those of us used to double tapping home.

I really like iOS9.

The back button when jumping between apps is great.
I like Proactive Siri, at least for plugging in headphones! I'm sure I'll find more uses for it soon.
Content blocker seems great, I just have to wait for my 6s to arrive to use it!
Automatically falling back to cellular connection if the wifi has no internet... finally!

New task switcher/killer is odd, why is the springboard always on top of the "pile" - surely it should be the last opened app and then fall back in sequence to the springboard at the bottom underneath everything else?

Good article Feek.

I wish they'd fix the position of the emoji key on the keyboard, especially now that they've fixed the shift key.

Who moves the position of a button to turn it off for something that should toggle? The shift key doesn't move, the '123'/'ABC' button doesn't move, why do they move the emoji toggle to a different position? They should just swap with with the 123 key and be done with it.

The settings search doesn't work properly or hasn't been indexed properly for me. Searching for 'Low' or 'Power' doesn't return the low power mode button. I'd quite like that button on the swipe up control center too for easy access, instead of hidden away in the settings.

I really like the jump back to previous app button.

I really like how you can save snippets from apps and links to webpages in a note easily using the share function.

Looking at the article posted above it looks like they've now removed the 'Use side switch to lock rotation' functionality for the final release :(

I wasn't too keen on the app switcher at first, when looking just at the screenshots. But I found if I shifted my focus to the App icons and names instead it was actually easier to find what app I'm looking for, then only look at the screenshots if I'm trying to read something specific off of it before returning to the app I'm in.

Edit: Kind of agree with you about springboard Nismo, just press the home button once if you want to see the home screen?

Ughh...edit again, the way the new app switcher is you can't see 100% of the screenshot of the other app, so if you're referencing something on the right side of the screenshot it's very difficult or impossible to see.

So after doing a restore and update on a iPhone 5s, it restarts and then not only can it not connect to my mobile network, but it cant activate the handset either over WiFi.

Doesn't work through iTunes either. Says the activation serves are down.... which I doubt.

No reported issues according to Apple.

All updated by iTunes - iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2

Just noticed that I've lost the Siri "blip" sound effect on my iPhone? Is that normal on iOS 9 as the Siri blip sound effect is still working on my iPad?

So maybe I am going blind... but where is the apple news app?

I have also lost the siri noise when holding down.

After looking into this the Siri 'bleep' sound has been removed when double tapping on the home button/touch id on an iPhone using iOS 9. The 'bleep' sound is still used when using 'Hey Siri' on an iPhone .

Apparently it's to make it ess obtrusive to people around you in public.

Siri even has an answer to this:

Pre IOS9 I could go into camera roll, press on a photo and have the option to copy it, now I have to open the photo, then select it again to reveal the copy option, then paste it. Am I missing something or have Apple added a tap or 2 to my photo copy/paste procedure? :)

^ I honestly don't get the Apple vs Android thing.

I use my iPhone for, social media, twitch, emails, sms & calls. Why would i be bothered about being in a 'closed environment'. Same reviewer calling its users iSheep. I mean really? So android users don't follow/want new Android phones? All right then..

Hmm so iOS 9 means we have transport searching built into Apple Maps.

I'm debating dropping citymapper for a bit to see how it works, but it still has useful things like telling me the status of the tube network. I just don't like having redundant apps...

I've been using an ancient 4S for a few weeks now, since my Nexus 4 became a bit temperamental...
Battery life has seemed a lot better today, I tend not to use it much during the day, but it's usually dropped to about 80% by lunch. Currently on 93%...

Annoyed at the iOS 9 adblocking only supported on the 64-bit models so my 5c/iPad 2 are out of luck. Are there any alternatives for non-jailbraked 32-bit?

Adblock Browser (free) in the App store, early version, works okay but can't import bookmarks :/

It's on my iPad 2 and has worked flawlessly, not tried on my iPhone
