iOS7 and iPhone 4, any takers?

I admire your patience, I have a 4S and I think that's getting a bit long in the tooth :p

There is a delay from pressing the backspace delete key when posting on this board now.....Hmmmmm

Must resist !

edit, some apps are "unusable" it doesn't know I have a IP4 and only shows the middle section of the app...

Okay, more bugs.

When playing music, and the phone is locked, the rewind, pause and next song button on screen does not work. The seek and volume sliders does.

To skip a song or go back a song I need to unlock the phone now....what the hell.

Two thoughts (that probably won't go down so well on the Apple Forum, but I think they're valid):

1) Slowing down your iPhone 4 is part of the Apple marketing plan. You get so fed up with it, go into an Apple Store and have a play on a quick shiny new iPhone 5S and soon you end up buying it. What's more you're much happier with your new 5S than you would have been had you kept your iPhone 4 on iOS6 given how poorly it's been performing since upgrading to iOS7.

2) Maybe Android fragmentation isn't so bad. Your old phone might not get the shiniest new version, but it keeps working how it always used to. The new Google model of pushing essential updates through Google Play Services, will let them fight the downside of fragmentation without having the same issues as iOS7 is for you.

Keeping my iphone4 firmly on ios6 till they sort out the stability of safari and fix the notifications for mail and app store.

Its not been a nice upgrade on the ipad.

Restored the phone, imported apps back on from fresh...music player now works again.

Phone is a tiny bit quicker too...guess I can live with it for another year.

I too did a DFU restore with IOS7 after an initial go at an upgrade and being disappointed with battery life etc

still don't like the animations - but battery life after DFU restore to IOS7 is back to what I'd expect if not better

over weekend I managed 2 days 5 hours of standby and 5 hours of usage out of one charge - not bad for a phone/battery over 3 years old
