Ipad 2 issues anyone? backlight bleeding?

I had this problem on my iPad 2, got it replaced yesterday and the new one also has the problem but it's not as noticeable. Still undecided on if I will be getting this replaced or not though.

mine has just little bleeding but i dont care its barely noticable if u turn light max and use black pics. any way good tablet i can provide pics now

Are u guys doing a 100% brigtness test or just under normal use. I use mine under normal use and do notice it slightly but if crank up 100% it not nice

Even under full brightness there's nothing noticeable if you look hard I can see a fraction from the right corner and a few other places across the left hand edge. But these are well under a mm. I'm not sure it is a wide spread problem, people only complain with a problem and not many people have on here.

One thing that does surprise me is that the displays have not been subjected to greater scrutiny by reviewers. This hardly seems unique to iPads but most I have seen seem to go no further than colours, viewing angles and overall sharpness. Monitor reviews, on the other hand, often seem to pay much more attention to the backlight. I would think that tablets deserve the same thoroughness in this area.

The others are visible bleed isn't even under extreme conditions. You have to go to a black screen and full dark room(ie no light at all) before you can see anything. But then there's. Such a contrast in light it's not unexpected.
Shall see what it's like to night, but it makes no difference as it is such a extreme condition.

Okay here are the pics of mine.

This is the original:

And this is the replacement:

To be honest the replacement actually looks a lot better in real life than it does in that photo and it is certainly an improvement over the first (even though it may not look it in the photos!). As I've said before though, this still might be going back depending on how much it annoys me in the coming days.
Both photos are in a dark room on 100% brightness, the only things really visible in the replacement on my normal brightness setting (about 50%) are the two corners on the left hand side.

I'd get that swapped again.

Mine is one of the first batch and I have one tiny bleed, about half as potent as the one you have at the bottom middle (just to the left of the middle).

There are some good ones about at the moment.

Yeah I think I most probably will, I'm tempted to even give them a call or visit a store manager and try and get it in writing that I can get a brand new replacement in a couple of weeks just to see if it is a batch issue.
I don't understand all the people who are saying if you can't see it in normal use it isn't an issue, if you've just spent £400+ on a product you want it to be pretty much perfect.

As requested looks quite bad in a total pitch black room. I am not bothered though. I think it's just people looking for perfection when it doesn't change anything. You'll see what I mean in the photos. Also under a dark room as possible with heavy black curtains during the day the camera can't even pick it up and by eye you can only seen a fraction at the very edge of the screen.

Full brightness

Normall brightness

So as i said under any normal use you can not even see it, not even in a heavily dark room. It is only in a pitch black (no light at all, on full power does it come a problem and I odn;t call that a problem. In fact I would be interested to test my tv, computer and other lcd screens as I would expect similar results.

about 65%

For comparison a monitor I have had for years, never had an issue with it other than the one stuck(pink) pixel(that big pink spot, not sure why it's so large) and this is only at 50% 100% is just a white wash. Wouldn't of even thought about it, until this thread.
