Texting sometimes is really slow since the update. Literally takes 2 seconds to process each letter :S
like ringtones as an example... why make it impossible to add your own without having to go a third party route! just painfully awkward where it should be one of the perks of a personalised interface like owning a mac is still despite its overall simplicity for the inexperienced....
=)
Last Friday I bumped into a work colleague using his iPhone and I was like "oh I've had one too, you got any issues?" and his answer was no as he had bought his phone a few days ago and just had to upgrade to 2.0.1.Texting sometimes is really slow since the update. Literally takes 2 seconds to process each letter :S
+1Yup, back for me as well. There must be something that triggers it.

Supposedly, the "problem is affecting 2% to 3% of iPhone traffic," which doesn't seem so bad, as long as no one else buys an iPhone. The real problem for Apple will be if the firmware upgrade doesn't work. As it stands, we are currently at the second step in a process of customer service that will be familiar to longtime Mac users.
1. There is a problem with an Apple product.
2. Apple won't admit to it.
3. Someone threatens legal action.
4. Apple does a recall.
Welcome to the club, iPhone users.
250mb? TWO HUNDRED AND FIFTY MEG?!
What? Thats crazy. I didn't expect it to be that much.
I thought the exact same thing, saw the update 15 minutes before I had to go to work and thought ah that wont take 2 seconds to update, update is still on hold on my itunes like 3 days later!
One of the Apple websites that I frequently peruse at home mentioned the removal of Push Notifications in 2.0.1's successor. I wonder if that is the cause? Something is obviously munching away at CPU cycles somewhere and I feel its more than one feature.
It's the entire firmware, it doesn't just update parts, but reflash the whole thing. Like the PS3 does.
