Iphone 2.0.2 update out!

If anything, 2.0.2 is worse for text message and phonebook lag than 2.0.1 was! They're my only two issues...I think...but annoying as I use both quite a bit.
 
I had fun texting today at lunchtime. I started off with 3 lines of text and then tapped the X key repeatedly to erase ONE WORD. The damn thing then deleted the lot and I couldn't stop it! :(
 
When my text goes slow, if I type a word, then put the cursor at the start of that word again and start typing it always goes full speed. Bit of a bizarre workaround, but it seems to work.. I'm guessing the auto word complete doesn't work in that mode or something so it's not getting lag.
 
I would love to know what 2.0.2 was supposed to fix. I cant think of one thing?

Il give it to 2.1.0 then mine will probably go on the bay also. The potential is there but its poorly implemented in its current state. Nothing major, just all the little bugs add up in the end. Its still in beta basically.
 
that must have been the easiest jailbreak ive ever done, just done 2.0.2, downloaded both softwares and it jailbroke it within 2 mins :)

I'd presume he means Quickpwn, as that's exactly what I've just done. Fingers crossed it'll be an improvement on 2.0.1
 
Not had the text lag again and I've got a few rather large convos going now.

Safari works with ogame now.

But contacts is still abit slow and general loading times is pretty poor for SSD tech.

Lets hope 2.1 (which is meant to be out before sept!) fixes more stuff.
 
my 2g with 2.02 quickpwned is quite quick with SMS, contacts can be a little slow opening but Safari seems more stable now.

Looking forward to 2.1, just hope one day we get flash and java support.

Loads of people are saying that installing apps via the handset is causing these lag issues and long backup times.

For those having problems, do a restore and sync your applications from a Mac/PC.

I did, and I've had a crash-free few weeks :)

(I realise it negates the point of the app store but at least it sorts the lag until the update arrives!!)
 
Is it me or does this newer software remember multiple part texts?

Say I start texting bob but dont finish/send then start texting harry does it remember what i am half way through sending to bob?
