iPhone 2.0 firmware available now

No SwirlyMMS yet! Shocking, might hold off until 2.0 is smooth and Swirly is out, as I do use the camera a fair bit for sending photos

Initially I had no problems wit 2.0 (legit O2 PAYG) but now I am starting to notice the odd delay and freeze. Not good Apple you guys should remember 10.0 and how bad that was.

Roll on 2.0.1 and at least I no longer have to bother with the jailbreak...

So if youre using any O2 sim you don't haveto jailbreak the phone , but you do need to unlock it if you want to install non-apple store apps?

Actually, that's incorrect. You no longer need to unlock your iPhone to use any O2 sim, but you need to jailbreak to install non-App Store applications

Kate 2.0 inbound

Just got an email back from RIP Dev, apparently installer 4.0 will be released next week and following that Kate 2.0

Dont take my word for it though, just thought id drop an update, been without kate for the last 2 days since the update and i feel like my phone has lost a leg or something :/

Hello all,

I've got a few issues with my iPhone.

I've got a legit iPhone contract with 02 and I jailbroke it on 1.1.4, using installer etc all fine.

When 2.0 came out I restored the iPhone to 1.1.3 (or whatever the previous version was) and then updated right up to 2.0.

Now, email doesn't work, and hasn't since I've updated the firmware and sometimes the texting is SERIOUSLY slow. This is really annoying as I have to reboot the phone to get the texting back up to speed.

Does anyone know how to get the email working?? This was one feature I used quite a lot and I miss it.

ok would do another restore and set up as a new phone, I'm on 2.0 now and have noticed the slight pausing while txting and during safari but apart from that I'm loving the upgrade :)

I've found an annoying 2.0 bug.

Turn on Timezone support, change the timezone to "London, England" (from the default of Cupertino) and it crashes back to the homescreen.

The change is applied but it's happened on the 2 occassions where I've restored the iPhone 3G.
