I had a look around and it seems like you have to use iTunes 7.5, and Ziphone to refurbish the baseband and then you can unlock again.

I've updated to 2.1 and so far so good, its been perfect so far.

Just downgraded my 2.02 back to 1.1.4

Totally different phone, soooo much faster and as for txt'n its blinding !!!

Ahh 1.1.4 and Kate, my phone is now home again

Couldn't find a way to activate the phone unsing a windows method, got an unlock but soon as i swap for my saudi sim it wants itunes and tells me wrong sim blah blah blah

I could have downloaded a custom file is suppose but my net connetion over here sucks ass and it would take hours and use up what crappy bandwidth i have left :mad:

And ive heard Kate slows down 2.1 even more than what i had on 2.02 and i cant not have an iphone without Kate, ive found it too usefull and would miss my Uh Oh sms sound

Just use Quickpwn on Mac or PC, unlocks 2.1 really easily. Also, for me 2.1 is flawless.

Quickpwn doesn't activate, i ran 2.1 unlocked using it

Soon as the saudi sim went in it moaned @ me and iTunes said * off !

I need a MacBook !!!!!

Of course it activates. It does the whole shabang.

On 2.02 it took forever, im staying 1.1.4 for now

After my downgrade ive never been happier

2.1 increased the backup speed. The initial backup when you first sync takes ages, but subsequent syncs are much quicker.

2.0 too about 20 minute to an hour to back up for me (and four hours to restore!). 2.1 takes about 20 second. Marvellous!

I know it says it does the whole thing, you even see it running bootneuter, but for some peope (myslef included) it just doesnt unlock it. It says it all done but then you pop in your other sim and you get the iTunes message.

I tried it proberbly 20 times, each with exactly the same result. I ended up going round my friends who has a iMac and got him to use the pwnage software. worked 1st time.

Ok, sounds like a bug. Were you using quickpwn on Windows then?

Yes when I tried I tried it on my PC I was using quickpwn. I tried downloaded several times and reinstalling just in case it was that. Did the same with all the required files as well. As you say, I huess its just a bug that effects certain iPhones

Probably the software actually. It is still in it's infancy so bugs are inevitable.
