I've always used and loved Nokia phones, although Symbian and Maemo is rubbish. :(

Should have used android the sillies! :p

Now where's my iPhone 4, I wants to play with it before I destroy it.

Hope it is A software issue! Overall reception is definitely better, parts of mmoffice that were a constant no signal area are now a solid 3 bars of GPRS. I tried to blag a free bumper today but to no avail anyone managed it?

You can easily get obsessed with looking for problems on this sort of device. Best to just use the phone... if it gives you real world problems then take it back.

Otherwise just enjoy...

has anyone else had problems with the flash? when i take a photo with it. all i seem to get is a blue screen cant see the picture really at all??

nokia had always made great hardware.

If they had produced an android phone i'm sure europe would have gone mad for it. Their misfortune is entirely down to them doggedly refusing to give up on symbian.

So true.

It's a real shame, it's what kept me form the 97, and N900. Great hardware, but the interface and software was dire to say the least.

Battery and heat issues here (I suspect they are one and the same).

I'm hoping this post on the Apple forums will help me: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11775150&#11775150

I only noticed how hot my phone was getting today. Spent around 5 mins reading/filing emails and a little surfing before the back of the phone gathered enough heat to make my palms sweaty.

The heat/battery problems coincided with a reset and restore of the phone I did last night so if resetting email accounts and the network settings don't work I'll try a factory reset but with no restore.

Anyone had/having anything similar?

Your signal is almost nothing. When it's on standby even though the screen is off the phone will be constantly searching for a better signal and that will drain the battery.

I'd agree that's the most likely explanation there.

Try switching 3G, Wifi and 'location services' (satallite) off and you will find the iPhone will last at least a week without a charge.

I've been having the "No SIM Installed" issue since last night. A restart sometimes fixies it, putting it into aeroplane mode then back again sometimes fixes it too. It's very frustrating as you lose all internet or phone activity when it happens.

There's a large thread on it on the Apple discussion boards. Seems to affect people from different networks / countries.

It happened to me twice last night and once this morning.
