iPhone 4S Reservations?

Still unavailable sad..

They tell you to go online and Reserve the phone and yet there damn website shows all the phones as unavailable nice one..
 
Site seems to have gone a lot slower in the last like 3 minutes :p

Don't see the point of this if stock is just unavailable, especially how all products are...
 
Fortunately I was at a gig tonight, so didn't waste time clicking refresh like I did last night. :-\

The only reason I can speculate for this behaviour is that they performed a roll-out of this reservation system across the UK, Germany, Canada, the US and a few other countries, so maybe they had some in stock, and they're keeping the reservation system uniformed due to a few months of limited stock.

Again, just guessing! :(
 
I bought one off the website in the end, so if I get a reserved one, I'll just cancel that, as my estimated delivery date is 1st - 8th November. :-\

I guess this is from the Apple Web store? What time did you order roughly on the 7th?

Mine is at the "Preparing for Shipment" stage so I am hoping it gets sent out rather soon :D

Yeah it was from the apple store. Silly me thought by ordering direct from apple that I would receive it on release day. I ordered it at roughly 1923... That's when I received my confirmation email anyway.

Mine was in the preparing for shipment most of yesterday and dispatched this morning with an estimated delivery of TODAY :)
 
I got my email around 4pm from Apple on Friday. Changed to Preparing for shipment at sometime yesterday but still no change today :(.

They had the money reserved on my card for like a week and then it disappeared and haven't taken it again as of yet!
 
Went into the Oracle store earlier, asked if they had any stock (knowing the answer would be no) They say to go and reserve it... I guess I will keep checking for the next few evenings before my one from the online store gets sent. (having no patience sucks)
 
Some good news!

I visited the Regent Street Apple Store today and they told me they haven't had any new stock since launch day! So as they haven't gone any stock, none of the other stores will have stock either. They said just keep checking every night at 9PM and when they get stock it will say. The system works they just don't have any stock.

Brent cross apple had the white curtains across this evening around 7'ish with a security guard standing between the curtain and glass doors (looking very bored!)

Maybe getting more stock? Cant think why else they'd close it off ?
