Weird.. my desktop is showing no results but my mac is lol.. White 32gb + 64gb left. I think there was black 32+64 as well. White 16gb gone now

I was refreshing all 5 London stores plus Lakeside and Bluewater every few seconds and only a few 64GB White came up in White City but were gone in seconds!

I have ordered one but I was trying to reserve an iPhone to get one quicker. My phone hasn't even shipped yet, hopefully it will ship soon so I can forget this reservation system.

Anybody from last year: did the reservation system work?

Stock has been getting through to other places.. O2 are getting them if you believe their stock checker.

Yeah, it worked but you had to be quick. Last year at 9pm stock would appear and it was a mad dash to get it in your cart and through payment.

Got to the Reading store for opening, when I was meant to for collection. Asked two members of staff, they just looked at each other. Said they didn't think they had any, they asked to see email. Went away for like 10 minutes and then said you know more then we do. Now to wait for my giffgaff Sim to show up and then transfer number.

Not sure if I want to risk cutting down my virgin Sim card incase it doesn't work

So you have the phone and they didn't think they had any in stock?

That company is so clandestine about everything it's unbelievable.

They create this absolutely mental demand for a phone, and then have to defend it like they're bars of solid gold because the value of them is massively artificially inflated.

I managed to find a store with loads of the iPhone 4s

Only downside is,

Its in Hawaii, Just booked my flights!!

Yep pretty much, nobody had told them that they had any delivery.

Because there's such a huge customer demand for these items, it'd be high on any manager's list to get this stuff organised, so I reckon the staff aren't told purely so that they don't let on that there's any stock that they could stock-pile for their mates or something.

Either way, the whole thing's ridiculous. Do you reckon that this form of stock control boosts sales or causes them to drop? A LOT of people will have lost interest after a week of not being able to get hold of one!

I am going to look at all the Apple Stores tonight on the reservation system. Hopefully at least one store near me will have some stock!
