Sorry to break it to you mate but you're no one special, you get in line with everyone else on launch day. I mean seriously expecting to walk up to the one of the busiest Apple stores in Europe and expecting to be served right away? Hahaha.

I'd expect them to have their staff lined up with card machines and iPhones ready to pocket everyones money.. not make them wait an hour in a line when we all have better things to do, surely? I mean.. it's a nice phone.. but it's not that nice. I should've just ordered and got it delivered to my work address but hey, I just assumed they wouldn't have such a backlog at the store

Valid point to be fair. They'd save lots of time if staff walked the line taking payments on their iPhones, giving customers a receipt when complete.

Anyone else got the Spigen Neo Hybrid case for it? The side buttons on the case are rubbish, no feedback and the volume buttons are tempremental as to whether your going to get Vol Up or Vol Down. I like the case its just let down by these side buttons.

Not sure whether to try another Spigen case or not, maybe one with a cutout for the phones side buttons. Also a lot of these screen protectors available seem very narrow and JUST fit the width of the screen.

I thought I just had a dodgy case!

Mine is the same dude, volume up sometimes seems to register as volume down. I think I might give the Neo Hybrid Metal a go.

EDIT: After seeing a review on Amazon about the same issue, seems that if you scratch off a little bit of the paint on the button holes it works a lot better! :D

I'm loving the 6+. Played around with it last night and this morning and I'm more used to the size now. I do have quite large hands which probably helps though. The display is lovely.

Anyone else had an email from Apple after the normal despatch email saying their phone is coming today despite UPS still saying Monday.. I didn't pay for Saturday delivery and can't decide whether the email is spam or phishing.

Confused.

I'm loving the 6+ :)

For the first few hours I was a bit overwhelmed with the size of it but you soon get over that. Really enjoying the beautiful screen. Reading books on the kindle app is fine and browsing the web is way better than my iPhone5.

That is indeed the plus :)

I believe the gel case and screen protector came from amazon. The screen protector is a little on the small side, but the case seems to fit very well.

Spigen do a range of screen protectors that fit curved screen edges perfectly they're called curved crystal, they aren't out for the iPhone 6's yet though.

Can't you just swipe left to right from the left hand edge? I use this on my iPad, to go back, finger on left edge of screen, swipe to right and back you go.

I can do this but need to juggle the phone a bit. Damn my stupid small hands

The 4S was a perfect phone IMO. Just upgraded hardware would have made it an all time winner

I can see many women not liking the IP6 as much as the 4/5 due to the increased size (except for women with man hands)

A colleague had their delivery pushed forward so it's possible.

The 4/4s are horribly small now, almost everyone wanted a bigger screen.

It depends what you use your phone for, for many people they are now media consumption devices, before being phones. Therefore a bigger screen is better, and a trade-off people are more than happy to make.

If you just text and call people, don't web browse or watch much video, then the iPhone 5 sort of size is probably better, but most people do so much more than that now.

On average I think people will be happy with the size of the 6, the 6+ is more of an acquired taste but even the women I've asked have been tempted to at least try a 6+ out!

Managed to reserve and collect a 64gb iPhone 6 in space grey today, a relatively straight forward affair. I really wanted to like the 6+ but it just felt to big for daily use.

How about having the screen as big as the phone with only a small area for the home button? The bezel on the IP6 seems rather large compared to screen size

That would make it a fair bit smaller without making the phone too big.

The Galaxy S4 is only .3mm wider but has a 5" 1080p screen

Off topic but is it possible to change whats app so there are more than 5 conversations on the screen. It looks massive, like its in 640x480 res instead of 1024!

As a commuter in London, I see a LOT of women using larger phones - they just put them in their handbags.

I have small hands and can operate a 6 Plus fine, I guess I must just have good dexterity or something.

I can fit it in my pocket fine

So you can operate it fully with one hand all the time. Hold and reach top to bottom of the screen with your thumb, index & thumb pinch for zoom on sites one handed etc?

Well I have just been into the O2 shop today to have a play of the 6 and the 6+.

Even with my big hands I just found the 6+ to uncomfortable. It's too wide and just overall too big. It just feels awkward holding it, I can see many of these being dropped and damaged if not careful. Its not a phone after all, its a phablet. Not for me and very glad I waited to see one in the flesh as I would have been very disappointed with the 6+ if I ordered online. I've got a iPad Air for the bigger experience and that does a much better job as well.

The 6 is much, much better for me being comfortable to grip easy with one hand and I can use the whole of the phone with my thumb. Surprising how much difference the .7" makes. I'll definitely be going for a 6 now.

:)

I'm happy to use both hands and can just about get away with basic navigation single-handed - I'm not fanatic about it being a mandatory requirement of a device that it be able to be operated entirely with one hand.

This, I hate people who walk or drive while using their phone at most other times you have 2 hands free to use the phone safely.

I had a quick look at this the other day. As I use my phone as a phone and to check emails, I couldn't really see the benefits of it over my iPhone4! Certainly not for the £600 privilege!

When 4G becomes more well established I'll probably get an upgrade.
