They are touting a feature of the 6 is the 'unscratchable' sapphire screen. Is this really something on people's requirements fo the 6?

The amount of people I see with cracked iPhone screens. I think they need abit more than just a sapphire screen if true. Then again, its peoples clumsiness which is the problem.

Well I get around 5 hours screen time per 24 hours on my 5S (approx). So a 20% larger battery (roughly), combined with the larger but newer LCD screen and new SoC could keep that the same.

I'll probably go for the iPhone Air (or whatever the larger one is called) though, it's a bit big but **** it. :D

How can you tell your screen time on an iPhone, I've always wanted to figure that out but its all lumped together as usage which is useless too me most of the time. I believe iOS8 improves things here and breaks down the usage.

Also I would have linked better battery life, then trying for more thinnovation, I mean i really gain nothing going any thinner then the 5s but if it had better battery life I could use my device more and enjoy it much better. Really hope the rumours of 2100mha are true as thats a solid size for 4.7" device.

If I was buying I would certainly be very happy with this "feature" at the end of the day you can be as careful as you like then one day just put it in you phone with your keys and have a little scratch that bugs you. Like I have done with mine so a unscratchable sapphire screen would be a godsend.

That said my friend has just bought a screen protector for his HTC One that is almost the same non scratch surface and does not reduce sensitivity etc and that was £6 delivered. And that's not one of those 10x for a fiver screen protectors this is almost 1mm thick and goes on like a dream with no bubbles etc.

I currently have something similar on my Nexus 5, its tempered glass feels amazing, and you literally just drop it on and it stick, no bubbles what so ever. But I would much rather not need anything and just have the screen be perfect.

The biggest problem I feel is that tiny bits of pocket grit are stronger then glass so they can cause these tiny micro scratches, that don't effect you in anyone but when I do see them I get so annoyed.

Yup that's exactly the same as me. I had my 5S for a week before I forgot I hadn't put the protector on and put the phone in my pocket with my keys. It now has a nice little annoying scratch.

After seeing the demo of the sapphire glass taking a nice beating it looks perfect to stop these scratches happening and helping me stay less annoyed.. lol.

if the rumoured apple event for the iPhone is true and will be help on september 9th (iirc?) when can we expect apple to officially announce the event, a fortnight, a week before hand perhaps?
