The iPad Air is pushing more than 1440p though. I can't seen it being an issue on the 750p iPhone 6, when it hasn't been an issue with the 640p iPhone 5/C/S.

Is it actually unified RAM though? Surely DDR3 is not quick enough for a GPU? The GPU doesn't have it's own memory (not even a small frame buffer ala Xbox 360?)

It's not. It's just some sensationalist people getting carried away. Although personally I do feel The Verge have an American company bias.

It also amuses me that obviously they are distinctly different phones. Maybe the 6 Plus is actually more usable with one hand? The operating systems are completely different and IOS has clearly made allowances for the larger screen size. I have no experience of the Note, but does it have those same "accessibility" features?

This also doesnt take into account that when the Note was reviewed, phones that size were very new, however now they're accepted.

It's compared to the Note 3, which is barely a year old.

Well the Note4 does have a similar feature where it can stretch down UI elements from the top to make them easier to hit at the bottom. Then again Android really helps with larger screens by having the "back" button at the bottom of the screen. I can see having to reach up to go back being a right pain in the backside considering these buttons are always on the top on IOS. Also the i6+ has a much bigger bottom bezel which will probably make reaching up even more of a pain.

The reality is that the i6+ is going to be the same sort of one handed use experience as the Note4, people who are comfotable using the Note4 are going to be OK with the i6+, and people that really can't get along with a phone like a Note4 are going to be in a similar boat with the i6+.

Who's using a note 4 with one hand?

I have big hands but I almost always use my 5S with two hands :p

I remember thinking "woah, it's a bit big" when I got my HTC One (M7), now it's normal and i'm used to the size. My hands either in the right place or requires a quick shuffle, but no problem with one handed use*. :)

*Both hand span added together is more than a Filco TKL for reference.

Ha! Suppose so, I hadn't really thought through size in relation to pockets :p.

I'm usually super careful with all my stuff, never had any damage to any of my iPhones (3, 3gs, 4, 4s, 5, 5s) so I'm feeling confident with looking after this, just means I'll probably leave it at home on student nights out though!

Most pockets can easily swallow the HTC which is a very similar size to the 6. Only had one pair of jeans that it only just fit into.

I also find I make less mistakes two hand typing on the iPad mini than I do on my phone.

Thanks to those who posted the website that allows the calibration to show you how big the phones are.
Copied them onto paper and theres no need for me to go and compare the 6 and 6+. 6+ is far too big. Confirmed that I hate phablets.
Will probably preorder the 64GB 6.
