I have just finished reading a very interesting article which I have seen reported in two different publications today regarding iPhone sales.

The 5s and 5c have been outselling the 6 and 6 plus and the price of the 5s has actually gone up. Figure that one.

It appears that quite a lot of iPhone users are not impressed by size and prefer things the way they were.

Link?

Considering you cannot actually buy the iPhone 6/6+ in store because of stock, it's no surpise the models that are readily available outsell it.

Most people just want to walk in to the shop and grab a cheap phone. The 5C and 5S are readily available, cheaper and for the most part not too far behind in specs.

This is a question for anyone who has ordered off the UK apple website:

Apple's dispatch time states 7-10 business days. Does anyone have any experience with them? Are they actually dispatching within that timeframe? Quicker? Longer?

Be interested to know this as well. Ordered a 6 on Monday, been on preparing for dispatch since. Quoted delivery date is 21-24 October, hopefully it gets brought forward.

Well this forum used to be full of people swearing that that 4" was the best and maximum sized screen that they wanted. Don't hear too much from them now.

Ordered a 16GB Space grey Iphone 6, had a go with my mates 6plus today and it was way too big for day to day use i think, 6 seemed perfect.

64gb iPhone 6 in Space Grey is like gold dust. Literally every other colour and variant of size is available to reserve to a store apart from that version.

What happened to gold and silver being the best colours for iOS7/8 hey.......

Ordered mine yesterday and it's on processing items.

If anyone does know how long they generally take and if Apple are shipping before, within or after their 7-10 business day timeframe please say :D

Following on from an earlier post, i'm actually considering sending my iPhone 6 (64gb Grey) back and going back to a 5S.

Not a great deal in it usablility wise and the 5S seems more pocketable (Obviously).

Got a few days to decide before my returns window ends.

Golden looks like **** this year, pretty horrible I find it. I quiet like the sliver but black is best :D.

So I'm about to come into some redundancy money whilst managing to secure a new job fairly quickly.

Majority of it is going into the wedding pot (got to keep the missus sweet), but a small slice is mine to spend.

So I'm gonna crack on and get a new iPhone.

My conondrum is this:

I've literally only ever had 16gb phones and currently have a 16gb IPhone 5S so I acknowledge that my next phone needs to have bigger storage. I expected a 32gb minimum so fair play to Apple for eliminating that to make everyone bump up to the 64.

So given the short supply of 64gb SG iP6's, is it worth paying £699 for a 128gb iP6, or £699 for a 64gb 6 Plus, knowing I can just reserve one and pick it up the following day....?

My thought process would be how often do you run in to storage problems? If every week or two then 64Gb probably isn't going to be big enough, on the other hand if only once or twice and there were special circumstances then 64Gb should be big enough. The relevant questions I would therefore think are
- Do you think your circumstanes are going to change in the future so that you may need even more storage?
- Is the extra ££ worth getting the phone the bit quicker than waiting for a 64Gb to be in stock.

- I don't run into storage problems with my 16gb to be honest with you as I'm more of a data user and only ever have 9/10 albums on my phone.

But then I'm looking at my phone now and I've on'y got 3.7gb spare and thats only having the bare minimum on it. I've been concious of the size of certain apps so haven't downloaded them for that very reason. I appreciate that apps are getting bigger and it would be nice to be able to download them without fear of having to worry about space.

I'm also getting married with looking to start a family so getting this phone would be it for me for the next couple of years (he says this now....).

- I'm just an impatient mo'fo with a load of wonga burning a hole in my pocket!

My 128Gb iBendy is still on order - I went 128Gb because I've just about filled my 64Gb iPhone 5. I have my entire music library synced onto it and I had to reduce the quality to 192kbps to do it! It'll be nice to have the extra space and not need to worry about what I push out to it.

Mine has changed to dispatched now. Looks as if it is being shipped into the country, presumably from China? Should be here by the 15th.
