I was having problems getting the iPlayer to work. Just clearing the cache wasn't doing the trick but this routine seemed to work for me:
1. Navigate to 'about:blank'
2. Force Safari to quit (hold home button for 10secs)
3. Go into settings and clear safari's cache
4. Watch Top Gear![]()
When you mean navigte to about blank. do i type that in or where do i go exactly?
v3 does the downgrade too. I unlocked mine this way, and restored it to the latest version using the 'bootneuter' app. Only took a couple of minutes and did the process entirely from the phone.

PwnageTool or ZiPhone, what's the best way (read: easiest) to unlock your iPhone?
There's only one way to find out: FIGHT!

Serious question, what is the best?
depends if you have a mac or not.

Easiest: ZiPhone
Best: How long is a piece of string?
Some people prefer the ease of use of ZiPhone, and don't mind the downgraded bootloader, others would rather PwnageTool because they like tinkering.
Use Pwnage mate if you have a mac its not hard at all!! Plus the downgraded bootloader in Ziphone isn't the only problem with the software. In 99% of cases it works fine but there is that 1% who now have bricked iphones from using it. Its upto you if you want to risk it but I would use the Pwnage tool if you have mac and Iliberty+ if you have windows. If you are going to use Pwnage go to macrumours forums and the Iphone Hacks & Apps thread and then follow the Pwnage tool guide there. Your phone must be on 1.1.4 firmware so if your buying a new one update it in itunes to 1.1.4.
Not always. Could've been sat there for ages. Both myself and my sister bought one on the same day from different branches of CPW - hers had 1.1.2, mine had 1.1.4.Wouldnt a new one already have 1.1.4?

So if i plug in a brand new iPhone and press update, it wont brick it?
Think you have to put it in recovery mode and hit restore actually, but the result is the same - a new unactivated, locked iPhone with the latest firmware. How you want it, really. So if i plug in a brand new iPhone and press update, it wont brick it?
