Not sure why people say ZiPhoned iPhones cant be upgraded to 4.6. I just did mine a few minutes ago!

Its very easy to use. http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showpost.php?p=11551730&postcount=221 Just go by the screenshot at the bottom of the page and hit flash and let it do its thing.

Don't think it should matter. I just have the sim it came with in it cause im selling it, but it shouldn't make a difference. Its only changing software on the phone itself You could just take the sim card out altogether if you want to be safe i suppose

Respective to the article its tosh. I just used bootneuter on my iphone that i ZiPhoned yesterday

Just upgrading the Bootloader, so that if you want to return your iPhone, chances of O2/CPW twiging that it was hacked is virtually none.

you can restore the bootloader at any point cant you? so there no real need to do it now, only if you run into problems and have to return it?

Well some people said WiFi speeds are quicker but Im taking that with a pinch of salt...

When you select Bootneuter after you have flashed it to 4.6, 4.6 should be selected automatically.
I have seen an App which tells you straight up though i.e. Bootloader: 4.6

If you used ZiPhone to unlock, you'll have 3.9. Bootneuter will confirm this when you run it for the first time.

I'm using do it all in ziphone 3.0

Figured out where I went wrong, I was manually putting the phone into recovery mode rather than letting ZiPhone do it. Oops.

Although as of posting this the iphone is sat on a black screen with a cursor at the top left :/
