iPhone Mini or wait?

What’s the cheapest mini contract deal ? I’m on Vodafone but upgrades are showing as £51 a month for 64gb ( which is pathetic ).

What data plan is that for the £51 per month?? Unlimited?

also - was that on a 24 month plan? or 36/48?

that was 24 month and 100gb data AND £29 upfront .

looking on car phone warehouse I can get 160gb for same price. Although oddly it’s miles cheaper getting a new deal.

i didn’t get the best deal ever, but better than my current iPhone 11. Phone free , £50 per month, unlimited data.

quick question, due to what I have heard here and other sources regarding the iPhone Mini battery life, I have decided to leave my magnetic phone charger in my Man Cave at the PC to when im on it (most of the time) the phone has a place to stay, and charge..

What I want to know is, due to the rapid charging speed, is it OK to leave on the charging stand while im working, even when it reaches (in no time) 100% charge?

I got mine on Vodafone for £43 a month with £160 up front (but £90 back from TCB) for 100gb. It looks like I got mine as an upgrade from CPW. I could have gone a little cheaper if I'd changed networks but I've been happy with Vodafone so didn't want to move.

Cheaper to go SIM-only and buy the handset at full price on a 0% credit card...
Surely it's pretty marginal? You can get unlimited SIMO on Vodafone (which is more than my 100gb, but I don't touch 100gb so don't need more) for £25 a month. The phone is £600 or so (mine is the 128gb and I bought on launch when from memory it retailed for £700). At £600 over 24 months, that's £25 a month which is £50 a month total.

I'm sure you could shop around and do the lot for the equivalent of more like £40 a month, but to me it wasn't worth the work for the value of a cup of coffee every month.

Edit: on mobiles.co.uk a 100gb Vodafone SIMO is £15 a month, so yup, £40 total.

Depends if you absolutely must have a new phone every 18 months. They're banking on you keep paying once the contract term is done, then it's £30 pure profit a month for them as you've already paid off the handset cost.

When I got my last one it worked out at £1050 for SIM-only+ handset from Apple vs £1250 for the same deal on contract. Plus you get an unlocked phone and can move networks whenever you like.

I got mine through affordablemobiles.co.uk and paid £41 a month for 150gb of data and free handset. This was for the 128gb blue version.

Vodafone don't offer visual voicemail do they? I check apples site and it's not listed there.

Don't know why all the networks don't offer that. Essential imo
What's visual voicemail? Is that where you can hit play, pause, delete on the voicemail rather than having to dial 121? If so yes, they do it

Yeh, fantastic feature. Under rated.

Wondee why they don’t list it in the site.

IIRC when o2 got exclusivity on the 2g they had to offer it. Once it was opened up networks like 3, voda didn’t have it and others that piggy like Tesco, giff gaff don’t.

Original iPhone 2G feature, generally only offered by original launch partners as it was a condition of the exclusive deal. Only O2 ever offered it here IIRC.

As said above it doesn’t list Vodafone as having it. So who knows…

I think that only leaves Three as the only major operator that doesn’t support it right?

I hated 3, a few years ago I switched over to them for their roaming abroad - at the time they where the only one that done it for free. They had a big ad campaign, feel at home. Anyway, went to the US and it was godawful. So slow. It was ridiculous. I ended up just buying a local SIM card and using that. I messaged them and they basically throttle it to the max, so much so you can’t actually use it.

Got back and went straight back to EE

I changed to the mini from the iPhone 11 max, best thing iv ever done the size is so much better. Battery been fine. Fits in your hand nice and not like a brick in your pocket. Also the camera is fine for everyday use

Apple know definitively. Hence the link to a knowledgeable article! Plus you might have known, but there's an audience of more than 1 to my reply. ;)

I found that EE supported it from that. So I've had them activate it this morning for me.
