Hi,

Finally ordered my 16GB 3G iphone :D but looking around can't find a thread about what covers you reccomend ?

I've just ordered a Zagg full body cover, but was wondering if you reccomend a plastic back cover ?

Thanks,

It's awesome, that is all. :)

Mine is naked

Is it really worth the cost of having a case? Only reason I see is for resale value.. but then I'd rather have the phone in my pocket and not worry about it. I've tried cases and they either don't fit in trouser pockets or they add pointless bulk.

Be interested to hear from the people who swear by them..

The amount it bounced, I'm pretty sure it would have been damaged. You're right, I can't know for sure though.

I keep my iPhone in my pocket all the time, EVH, not sure what you mean. Anyway I had a full body Invisible Shield on mine originally but it just didn't feel right on the back although it works well on the front. It was also a pain to fit to the back and a bit messy around the edges. I took it off.

Out of interest did the Switcheasy case fit even though you had the Zagg shield on ?

did the Zagg sheild make the touch screen worse / different

Oh and lastly, when you took the sagg off assume it doesn't leave any marks ?

Thanks !

Nice one Feek, I hadn't looked in to the Neocapsule that much (or I forgot :o) but I may just get that if I ever decide to get a case :)

The back of my current iPhone 3G is scratched to hell, which is swaying the decision to go back to a slim case / shield.

I use a contour case for my phone, I don't find it adds too much bulk and judging from the scratches on the back, its protecting the iphone from a nasty fate :)

Looks like I'm going to get the Rebel Serpent, good choice ?

Also what is the free screen protector like or should I also get a Zagg front cover ?

ill be getting a martin fields screen protector. ive used one before for an older phone and it is absolutely crystal clear, it somehow also looked better with what screen protector on than without!

my bros got an invisible shield which protects it well but i really don't like the texture on it... feels almost rubbery.

i also used a foof fabric sleeve for my itouch, awesome designs that look really nice and a good alternative to ugly looking hardcases. unsure as to whether ill use it for my phone since ill be accessing it much more frequently than an itouch so may not be as practical. may have to make do with a good quality screen protector alone :)

I'd be more worried about the plastic backing and chrome trim than the glass.

In my experience you'd have to gouge pretty deep to leave a noticable mark, or use a cutting tool such as we have in work (glass manufacture :D)

Bodyguardz skin on the front of my plodphone only. Used to be an invisible shield fan (had it on all my toys) until discovering the BG stuff - its slightly thinner, just as strong and hasnt that orange peel look on the surface. I hate to use big unslightly covers that detract from the look of the device.

True. My chrome thing is quite scuffed from putting it in and out of my pocket. I have scratched my screen a little bit, but that was shortly after handling road salt/grit. I put my phone down screen first. The back has a few tiny scratches on it but who cares :D
