iPhone protective cover ?

i am a painter and decorator at the moment and am going to be getting an iphone in the next few weeks, do not want to get paint all over it, so am looking for a hardwearing case that covers everything including the screen, is the swicheasy CapsuleRebel the way to go?? thanks

the only way you can cover the screen is with a clear screen protector film - some cases (the belkin silicone rubber ones for instance) come with such a film, but it's a pain to put on and get completely bubble free.

I've been using a Switcheast CapsuleNeo case for a couple of weeks now and it's brilliant. Phone looks cooler with it as well, it adds hardly any bulk at all, and it adds a good deal of protection.

Plus, it comes with a little 'plug' for the headphone and charger slots for when they aint in use - keeps out dust and grime. Also came with a 'video stand' which makes hand-free por... err, movie watching an easy task.

Great case for £15! (eBay)

Hi guys, picked a 16GB 3GS yesterday on pay and go and am sticking a simplicity sim in it. I want to get a protective film for the front, and a case to protect the back from scratches. Any recommendations for film and case?

I want the film to prevent smudges and scratches and reduce any glare if possible, the case has to be thin, prevent rear scratches and help keep the iphone looking good!

I got an Air Jacket which doesnt add hardly any bulk to the phone, and comes with an anti-glare screen film and clearer film as well. Works well.

dude - no need to go MK anymore for me :p - am working further south in august - more like west london :)

Are the Power support anti- glare films the best? a lot of cases come with films - are they cheapo / rubbish ones?

I've had a Zagg inviashield on for around 3 months now. It doesn't affect the touch screen, gives the phone a nice feel and grip without adding any bulk.

The only problem is it doesn't stay on very long. I had my last phone for 4 years and take great care of them. The shield has already started to peel off at the corners and due to it picking up pocket fluff it wont re-stick. If you catch it peeling straight away, you may be able to save it.

I'd rate it as follows:

Very scratch resistant but when it does scratch your stuck with it.
No bulk at all.
Screen opperates as usual.
Can be a pain to install (well)
Would I have another one. Yes if it was £5 as apposed to £17+ due to it only staying on for 3 Months.

Just ordered a capsuleneo - like the look of it and seems to have got good reviews - not too extravagant and does the job.

I have a ZAGG shield too, put it on last November-ish when I got the phone and no sign of the corners coming up yet :)

I work with vinyls for a living so found the shield easy to put on correctly. A friend also bought one but did not wait for me to help him and his shield come off about 2 months after he applied it.

Can you give any tips on how to make it last?

My CapsuleNeo arrived today. It looks really nice. It does make the phone slightly bigger but the extra protection is good.

I didn't bother with the screen guard, I did attempt fitting one but ended up with a speck of dust on it, being a perfectionist I couldn't stand it so removed it, I won't bother attempting to install the second one.

Overall I'm happy, prefer the phone being all black with the chrome surround covered.

So confusing and so many damn cases out there! :(

Just looking to buy a simple iphone case, ideally see through or near that to till see the whiteness of the iphone, as I saw a tiny chip in the Chroe on my 3GS today, can't see where its come from, but sadly it happens doesn't it :(

Any suggestions on a good easy to apply one? Not sure how easy the screen covers are to usually apply, but just wanna get something good to keep it from getting scratched and still able to ft in the usual apple dock )
Cheers

Have applied the powersupport anti glare and the capsuleneo- nice combination i can now carry it in my pocket without much worry. the film really gives the screen more texture - thought it was wierd at first but now getting used to it.

I ordered a SwitchEasy Capsule Rebel Case black last night for £14.99 free delivery :)

Should be here sometime this week all being well...

My cover arrived today, going to clean the screen with iKlear and have a bash @ putting the screen protector on :D

If you hear screaming from Hertfordshire way you know its going badly

Well its on, screen protector is a joke to fit, fluffed the first but did ok with the second, its like a dust magnet when you take the films off so need to get it down fast...

Overall I'm happy with the case, was worried about dropping it or scratching it......

Only down side is I can't dock to charge now but I can live with that ....

I have a SwitchEasy Capsule Neo arriving soon, it the screen protector any good or is it worth going ahead and getting a PS Anti-Glare while at Apple? ( they can fit it then too )

I was too inpatient to wait for my capsuleneo to arrive so bought the PS anti-glare on impulse - it seems the anti-glare has got good reviews from most quarters - i like it cos it adds texture to the screen and reduces reflections. im sure the switcheasy ones are fine - you can always try out them and if you dont like them then get the PS ones
