Hi i was wondering if anyone on here could answer a few questions for me regarding said phone:o

1) How good is this phone after the novelty value wears off?

2) If i buy it online will i automatically be entered into a contract?

3) How quick is the internet on it compared to a N95 8GB

4) Is it worth getting the 16GB?

1. After the novelty has worn off its still an amazing device. I think its actually my best £260 I've spent ever. I use it all day, every day and I have yet to find it boring.

2. I'm pretty sure if you buy it online all you will do is buy the phone itself and then you connect it to iTunes at your computer and fill in the contract form in iTunes (if you want :p)

3. I havnt used a n95 but I can say pages on wifi load up just as quick as they do on your pc. Its fast! On edge when out and about, pages usually take no more than 10 secs for me for normal pages like this forum for example. Pages with large pictures can take long using edge though. But still brilliant for a mobile phone!

4. I Dont know :p up to you lol. Myself I have the 8gb

1. I've only had mines since Saturday, but can't see the novelty wearing off. I use it all night to surf the internet in my living room using the WiFi. Saves me booting up the laptop and shutting it down.

2. No, you buy the handset then you take out the contract when you get home and sync it with iTunes, unless you jailbreak it before taking out the contract.

3. Using a WiFi connection it is quicker than the 8GB nokia, when out and about though the 8GB N95 is faster due to it having 3G

4. Depends how big your music collection is. I got an 8GB as even a 16GB wouldn't get near my music collection, so i just manually choose what i sync. I just have my favorite albums on it, and will mix it up occasionally, i done the same when i used my nano. But i have an iPod which syncs all my music so i am never stuck, music on the iPhone is just an extra to me.

Btw i have a the 8GB N95 :)

1) Im 4 months or so in to owning mine and I love it just as much today as i did the first time.

2) What the other 2 said

3) The 8Gb N95 is an excellent phone but its not an iPhone. The interface is crap and crashes a lot. The wifi is temperamental at best but the 3G does mean its fast outside a wifi area. Best thing to do is go have a play.

4) Depend on the budget and music collection. I have 40gb of music but i find i only listen to a 5th of that and thats all i need for my 8gb iPhone. I do wish i had the 16Gb cause lets face it...you can never have enough space and there are a lot of rumours of Apple allowing it to be used as storage space.

Overall...its an awesome phone that does have flaw but they totally compensated with the awesomeness of it!

Looks like i'll be getting one of these bad boys as soon as i sell my N95.Just to clarify the contract thing,what i meant to say was if i buy the phone in the shop they only have my bank details but if i buy it online they have everything they need to enter me into a contract:mad:

I don't really want that;)

I believe you have to gve a credit card when you buy but you dont sign up to the contract until you plug it in and get credit checked.
 
If you buy it in a shop they don't take any bank details, they only take your switch/creditcard in order to take the payment. Plus your name and address.

If you order it online, you give over the same details AFAIK.

1. The novelty doesn't wear off, its a great piece of kit!

2. You only enter the contract once you have the phone and you do this through iTunes when you are ready.

3. Is the N95 3G? If it is the internet will be quicker than the EDGE on the iPhone but the iPhone has wi-fi capabilities which is just as fast and free!

4. If you think you are going to fill a 16GB, then go for it. If not the 8GB is more than enough!

Yes, you cannot buy them with cash.

If you buy from 02 shops then you buy it like you would a kettle, pickup, pay, walk away.

However, with the Carphone Warehouse you have to sign a stupid agreement about the returns policy.

NO contract is entered in to until you activate the phone in iTunes (at home).
 
What is the return policy on it? Could I have a play with it then if I can't get on with it take it back saying I failed the credit check?
 
You have to provide proof that you failed credit check, i.e a screen shot or print out. Depends how fussy they are though, they might let you return it no questions asked.

it may be different for CPW or apple, but i thought all mobiles had a 14 day no questions asked returns policy? Though i may be wrong.

Most phones do. Would have to check before though. The iPhone has a 14 day returns policy.

And SMS software, are you referring to a third party app?
