Nah :D

Was just after a case for my work 5S.

Sarcasm........... wit ;)

First phone I'll have ever pre ordered, but I'm keen to return to ios. My Z3 is getting battered in my pocket at work and I don't really find android to do anything better than my old iphone did.

I'm tempted. Where is everyone pre-ordering from? or will you wait till the 31st and buy in-store?

Also, 3 will work with 4G right? I recall the iphone 5 having issues with certain 4G bands.

Glad I went from the 4S (which was getting pretty slow) to the 6. I was very unsure about the change in size but now find it completely normal. I can see why some would want a 4" phone but 4.7" really isn't 'huge' - especially to the massive screens other makes have or the Plus). Why would you pick this over a 6 or 6S? Size, price or both?

Would imagine price would be the primary consideration, as a lot of people want to get into the Apple ecosystem but can't afford ~£600 phones. I've never known anyone to try a ~5" phone and then later on decide they'd prefer a mobile with a smaller screen.

It's the one hand operation thing for a lot of people. I can't reach the top corners of a 5" screen one handed comfortably.
Oh and price.

I also can't comfortably reach the top corners of a 5" screen with my thumb. I use the reachability feature on my iPhone to get around this quite a lot though, a very useful shortcut which not everyone knows can be used on the larger iPhones.

I have zero interest in iphone but I am super glad they have done this. I wanted a higher end smartphone <5" and the only choice was the Z5 Compact. It's a great phone and I love it but I would've liked some choice. It'll show there is demand in smaller phones in 2016 and the android companies will inevitably copy apple to get a slice of that pie.

@SuperG it'll depend on how it encodes the video. 60fps to 120fps won't necessarily double the bitrate as codecs store the changes from one frame to another which are reduced at higher frame rates.

I suppose it'll come down to how often I'll be required to transfer files to the PC before it starts to feel counterproductive.

There's an astonishingly steep difference in price between the 16gb and the 64gb. With the £75 for a 4S trade-in the 16gb becomes relatively affordable for me. But that barely puts a dent in the 64gb price.

The pros of the SE that is pushing me towards it are:
1) smaller phone size
2) 1080p 120fps capability which means I can finally stop dreaming about the GoPro Hero 4
3) the latest iphone specs

The cons:
1) storage space
2) price for the more reasonably sized storage
3) my 4S still works albeit with the occasional web browser crash

I'm really in a pickle here.

My contract is up at the end of the year so this couldn't have came at a better time, the 6 and 6S are too expensive for me and I was thinking about switching to a SIM only deal or just going PAYG as most of my data is used over Wifi anyway. :)

Ordered myself a 16GB space grey and the Mrs a rose gold 16GB at 8 this morning. I'll buy a plex pass and sync everything to plex then storage isn't an issue for me.

Currently using a Voda Smart Ultra 6 so looking forward to getting an iphone (again)

i'll be needing the 64gb one. i've filled my 16gb 5c a few times and needed to remove some tracks from spotify and if I'm out of signal, now i have no music. all of my photos are in the cloud as well, but even just the thumbnails take up a silly amount of space!

so yes, 64gb is now a must :/

I prefer a smaller phone and find the sweet spot around 4.6". I do like the SE but really wonder if it's possible to go back to a smaller screen and enjoy the experience.

It's often said that we all remember things from the past as better than they actually were and the rule of thumb states - never look back always go forward.

Guys Im thinking about getting this phone to replace a samsung S3.

Im undecided on a 16gb or 64gb version, I have Apple Music but I dont intend storing tracks on the phone as I can do this on my 64gb touch, so would just be used for streaming on the iPhone.
Plus Im not big on apps either, think I have about 4 apps on my touch which Ive had for years.

Saying that I do have dropbox that I would need on the phone and this would also be for photo sync as well as I have other devices that are non apple and I don't intend on using iCloud photo library.

So would it be a mistake getting the 16gb? Im unsure if dropbox stores hard copies of files on the device or in the cloud?

cheers
