iPhone V2.0??

What sort of tariff you got on it now? That question goes for anyone else too who doesn't have the official O2 contract :)
Screwed - still on my Orange contract. And I think I'm right in saying Orange are the only network that don't do unlimited data. They'll cap at £1.50 a day, charge £5/month for unlimited eve/we or charge £8/month for 30Mb - what a complete joke.

Get one now.
I spoke to a 3 advisor and because i'm tied up to an 18 month contract with them, they said I could use their sim in a 2g mobile provided that I manually change to orange in the phone settings.

So that way I won't get booted off for roaming. If it goes pete tongue, I wouldn't have a problem restoring it and getting a refund will I?

Voda 'data' package... 120mb a month for £7.50 i think? Complete joke but more than enough for RoadSync (push email - which averages 40-50kb a day) and the couple of picture MMS i usually send.

I was sold on the Tytn2 until I heard about the Sony Xperia X1

The white paper for it got released a few days ago, and it sounds like just about the best phone every made!! :D

yeh but its not out until at least October, and you know how SE are with release dates - it probably wont be out until Dec, even Jan next year! In the meantime Apple and Nokia will have released their next efforts.. The Experia does look great tho.

just ported over to o2 Simplicity and gonna buy an iphone over the weekend, that way if a new one comes out i can go onto the new iphone contract when it comes!

oops, yeah with the web bolt on, but there doesnt seem to be an option to have the wifi bolt on unless you pay £7.50 extra.

Sorry should have said in my original post, i got £25pm 600 Mins 1000 Texts Unlimited Web

Was just reading the iPhone guide in the MAC hardware forum and it says that if you unlock the phone you can only get GPRS (and not EDGE) if you're using a PAYG SIM, or if you use a contract SIM you can get EDGE... How does this work? What does an O2 Simplicity SIM count as?

Can anyone confirm this please?

EDGE is a contract thing only.

With an o2 Simplicity you will get EDGE and GPRS when EDGE is unavailable.

Thanks Justin. Is EDGE often unavailable? Or is it one of those things that may come and go intermittently when you're out in the middle of nowhere?
