ipod classic just arrived

it does not matter what version it is at the moment does it, that hardly going to make the charging icon appear. Plug it in for 10 mins and see if the battery icon has increased.

iPod 'classic'?

WTF is that?

Does that mean the battery lasts 2 hours and it has gash sound quality?

*n

ppppft!! i've 30GB Classic iopd / 5th Gen , + £40 sony headphones and the sound quallity is perfect!! batt lasts over a week for me & thats with Itrip also

dont mock old technology its bulletproof :P

have a current classic, not the heaviest of users but i havent had to charge it since i bought it 2 weeks ago, my gen 1 nano needed juicing every week

gauge suggest it has just under 1/2 its battery left...

i doubt the sound quality is as you say "Perfect" when you have a decent set of noise cancelling headphones/earphones then maybe your getting closer but you will never reach "Perfect" not even with high quality music rates.

I just dug this up from the depths of the net.

'A battery icon in the top-right corner of the iPod's display shows how much charge is left. If you connect the iPod and the battery icon does not animate its battery is fully charged. Lithium-ion batteries such as those used in iPod have none of the memory effects seen in nickel-based rechargeable batteries. The battery stops charging when it's full. You can leave it plugged overnight for example'

Im sure i saw the unanimated icon since i plugged it in. Maybe not though
