iRacing

The Jetta is a pile of turd, the MP4 isn't bad but the RUF is the same class and better (and you get 4 variants total, although only 2 with official series).

You'd only be able to race either of them offline/alone or in hosted sessions though...

I like the MP4 a lot, but the Ruf is better. I don't own the Jetta, but if it's as bad as the Kia then it's a turd.

It's worth noting that you won't be able to drive the Ruf or the MP4 in official races until you have your B licence. The MP4 was in a C licence class when it was first released.

I'd certainly stick with the MX5 until you've got your D licence.

Licence is per series so if you click on the series tab that will show all current series in licence order. For each banner for the series there's a grey bar at the top with the name and on the right hand side "Select >", after that bit if you're licence is too low it will say licence ineligible.

There are also 'cards' on the right hand side of the main banner to show what licences are eligible, often these will be things like "Rookie 3.0" where the 3.0 is the required safety rating.

I didn't think I'd ever see anyone do something like in iRacing. You could sort of expect to see it in a rookie race, someone has a one month trial and behaves like that. But this guy has had to buy both the car and track and drive well enough to get the licence needed to be in the official race in the first place.

Unbelievable.

It's rare but it happens, can't stop all the retards :p

Definitely protest, if you don't protest something as blatant as that then there's not really much point in having the sporting code/protest system...

I had something similar when I first started Iracing, It was on a oval track and I clipped a guy as I was overtaking him and he spun out and wrecked into the wall. Was totally my fault and I appologised to him over invoice comms. He then went into a massive tirade of verbal abuse and parked his car low down on a corner and proceeded to ram me off the track next time I came round.

Was crazy stuff, and unfortunately at the time I had no idea about recording or saving videos so I could not report him. In fact I dont think I have entered a oval race since, I moved straight onto road races!

"oh no...brakes have failed.... oh look, if i cut across here ramming that dude will slow me down enough so I can still compete right..." I agree with homing missile, target was most definitely acquired, locked and positive on strike xD :p

Think I might have a few practice laps of the oval tonight and try my first race :D I'm just reallllyyyyyy worried it's going to turn into a cluster **** :p ah well, best I can do is try not to hit anyone myself :p

think lack of feel from my wheel isn't helping me either :p
