Spunkey, thanks one of my friends has just bought the Sim-Lab GT1 cockpit and triple monitor stand and they're both really good products and very well designed. I did see HE said that and they estimated about 350EURO for the 8020 which is a good price but I'm just not sure about incorporating the monitors into the main rig design. If you really wanted the HE design rig you could easily substitute the wheel mount for a couple of cross members as a temp (or even permanent) measure :)

Magicboy, you wont regret it, immersion factor went up hugely for me and driving position is much better :)

Would love to participate in some team events, count me in. Well done you guys doing such long stints on the 24 hours, great effort.

Im hoping HE will release more details inclusing dimensions on their wheel bracket (although I will have to buy the other brackets as they will not split), hoping it will be easy enough to accommodate into existing rig.

Still loving the HE seq shifter with the skippy, lovely addition.

I'm up for the team events, assuming I don't have commitments to run them elsewhere.

I've had a quick go in proper rigs elsewhere and it helps comfort immensely. I don't have the skills or tools to knock something up myself. Keeping one eye on the GT Omega with the triple monitor mount. The Obutto seems to get rave reviews, but it's a lot more money for something similar once you've got it shipped.

A few months after my last race I decided to get back into IRacing for this week. As the skips are at a few tracks I don't know I though I would give the CTS-V a go. What proceed was half an hour of pure frustration, every time you go near the throttle it wants to spin.

Do they have TC you can use? I've never raced them, only tested a couple of times and couldn't get used to the lack of visibility.

Come race GT1 at Bathurst instead :D

Isn't the Caddy a fixed set up? I've tried it a few times, it's ik but I'm never quick in it. I can't even get within 2 seconds of the fastest guys which is usually my own benchmark.

I'm getting a bit dissolutioned with iRacing at the moment, the website is painfully slow, a lot of tracks have issues with frame rates and stuttering. Even if we get DX11 in the next update, it will still probably take until the end of the year before we see the benefit. In the meantime they will probably add two or three more cars that will spread everyone even thinner.

Yes it is fixed, I've watched a few other people drive it on youtube and it does seem the car. Any sort of throttle on slow corners and it wants to do donuts. I might just do the mx5 rookie race till I get back up to speed. The website is ridiculous at the moment. It takes me 5 minutes to try and see the schedule of a series.

Good to know it's not me but the car. :p I'll brave the Rookie MX5's then.

Stick with the Skip and learn the tracks that you don't know

There's a guy that does a walkthrough for the track each week, I think he is called ER Sim Racing on youtube. You can find all the info in the skip barber section on the iRacing forum

I don't have Zolder then on holiday. I don't have oulton park either but I might buy it as I've had a lot of practice on it over the years.

First race was a rather thrilling 11th out of 12th, was 10th until the penultimate lap where I cut a corner and gave a place away but had zero incident points which was the target. Also being in the top split out of 7 makes me feel a bit better.
