iRacing

And the cycle begins again on OCUK in the iRacing thread :)

The Sim gets soo much bad rep from those who have never and have no intention of ever playing it but the reality is, the majority of those who do play it, think it is awesome.

I wouldn't go that far, there's a lot wrong with it, but it's the best sim out there just now.

In both Race 07 and projectCARS I really like the Radical, how is it in iRacing?

It's great in iRacing, there seem to be some big differences in either car or track though compared to pCARS...

Was talking to a mate a bit ago and he'd done some driving of the Radical SR8 in pCARS around Suzuka and said the WR was a 1:46.5, in iRacing the WR for the same combo is a 1:54.606.

Not sure which is more accurate as I couldn't find any real life radical times to compare with, and also not sure if it's because one is much faster than the other, or if the pCARS version of Suzuka is just plain wrong, who knows, but thought it was interesting nonetheless.

I do keep meaning to fire up pCARS again but can never be bothered when iRacing is just there :p

To be fair to pCARS it's a long way off finished and iRacing has had many years head start. I just hope the pCARS devs produce a better game than Shift, learn from their mistakes and other sims and are only guided by the community, rather than producing a game created by committee. That could be a disaster. Plus I'm in for a hundred euros, so it better be great.

All I really want is a decent sim with online racing that's not full of wreckers and rammers.

Hurry up and get home G, i have about 60 quid spare to blast on iracing, Mosport, radical and watkins glen sat in my basket.

going to buy 6 things. So need to no what other tracks will be best for me to go with G.

I've actually driven a Radical around Outlon so tried it in game, found the sim version very twitchy and a bit loose at the rear. I know the recent update has changed this so need to re-test it. Quite different to the real car which really stuck once slicks were up to temp, in fact it would push in to slight under not oversteer which felt the opposite of iRacing.

Did you try it last season? If so the 17 wing was very scetchy, 26 wing was the way to go, but since the update this week its all a lot more stable and its slightly more understeery...

Yep it was last season before the update, I'll have a play later and see how it feels now!

I love the MX5 because it's very accurate and the racing is very close.

My only issue with the MX5 Cup is Lime Rock which I don't particularly like, love Okayama short though.

Racedepartment are a good bunch for organised, clean racing if you like Race 07.

iRacing is solely online and the game is geared around that and is one of the reasons why I like it.

Personally, I play iRacing and Race 07 a LOT.

Agreed I love it so much I have to say its one of the most natural feeling and the way it sends feedback through the steering is very life like I love it to, will have a special place in my sim heart.
