Going to try do some practice on watkins glen later, had some serious practice time in the radical planned for this weekend GF and family had other ideas.

Managed to get a grand total of about 10 minutes, and spent that at oulten park *what a bloody great track* lol. Anyone up for some laps around the glenn in the radical this week to try get me up to speed? Never driven a lap of the track :p Going to ghost the season I think with you guys once season starts tomorrow.

G you got a setup for the Glenn anywhere mate, loving your spa one.

yeah ive just posted my set on the forum in the watkins thread, pauls is also good but im so intune with mine as ive used it so much that im struggling to adapt to using a new 1, ive made a couple of tweaks to it since last season tho...

think ill host a watkins server later if nobody else does..

thanks for hosting last night john, wish we were doing boot as we were meant to...

I got Watkins Glen the other day in preparation for the next season with the skip. Got my time down to 2.14 optimal but a 2.16 PB. Definatly room for improvement. I reckon I'm loosing a good second through turn 1 and the least 1.5 in the last sector.

I've also been practising the skippy on Watkins Glen and running very similar times than yours as PB and optimal. I am however struggling with consistency in the skippy. Still running baseline setup as I don't have much of a feel for tuning.

josh i just cant get into the 1.04's stuck at low 5's...

dunno if its my set just hasnt got the ultimate pace or what but im so used to it im finding it hard to use another...

I think mostly just a bit odd about the track, the handful of times I've dropped down into the 4's I really haven't expected it, the 1:04.7 earlier felt like a slow lap really. Yet when I think I'm going fast I inevitably get a 1:05.1, maybe a 0 if I'm lucky.

I guess that can kinda apply to any track, but seems more prominent here.

Changing setups, especially when it's one you've created for your driving is always gonna be hard, when I used to do oval sets it would take me quite a few laps before I could drive someone elses to the same pace, oddly I also found that going back to my own always gained me a small bit of time again fairly quickly so might be worth forcing yourself to get used to one of the others for 15-20 laps or so (or even set a time target?)

Not sure how the change has affected ultimate lap times but I think I got a couple of 4's with your setup prior to the new build, but haven't since, think I did a 1:05.0 as my best since the new build...

might give pauls a few laps then, but it moves around a lot for me and the back end got loose easy but ill dial that out...

in that sesh then i used stephens set for a good 5 laps and the jumped back on mine and i beat my best of that sesh but only by a few 100ths, so you theory might be right...

Glad to hear I'm not the only one then. Looking forward to the season kicking off tomorrow.

Anyone planning on getting the V2 Clubsports?

... out in June, and I think they are taking pre-orders in May.

=source=

ive just bought the damn v1 CSP's, so im slightly annoyed but darin at isr says there not much of a upgrade so im not too fussed...

josh finally broke the 1.04's not much but i did, 1st did a 1.04.933 with a little draft from splis entering the carousel then the next lap did a 1.04.987, after doing i dont know how many 1.05 flat...

I can do 5.1's quite easy but like you say the 4's just seem randon a couple times I was 1 and 2 10ths up on my pb(1.05 flat) but lost it in the last 2 corners...

I appologise for the double post as I did post this in "Windows and other software" but thought no harm posting in here as you guys are "in the loop" and will understand what I am trying to achieve.

There is a small group of us who play various racing games and I would like to create an active championship table.

I will be using Google Docs as I would also prefer it all to be web based.

What I would like is a form to enter in the results of each race with the following details:

Who got pole
Race position
Who got fastest lap

The above would tally up with a set number of pre-defined points being allocated.

Using that information, it would then show it in a nice championship table?

I am thinking of creating a spreadsheet with the team names (players) and creating a table listing what points are awarded for which getting pole, race position and fastest lap.

I think it should be possible to then create a form linking into the spreadsheet for entering results from races. To make it simple, a form which shows all the teams and you then have check boxes indicating who got pole and fastest lap and drop down box for selecting position of each team.

Would it then be possible to link the results of the form into a table?

I hope that makes sense to someone.

Many thanks.

I have looked for an "off the shelf" solution and although there are MANY for football leagues, I see none for racing games.

So, I am going to make my own and share the template with anyone should it turn out to be any good :)

Good Job on the 1.04 G, Glad to help man and honest cheers for hosting last night, Its gave me a lot of confidence now to go push and try get into the series with you guys.
The first session I barley got to run and my head dropped a little when I was doing 1.09's and you lot down in the 05's and 04's
But that second session doing some days of thunder runs with you and two other lads you know/race with, was awesome mate.

Chuffed to break into the 05's by the end of the second session and those laps running round with the 3 of you with me the noob meat in the middle of the pro sandwiched really helped me take down the time.
Happy to take off 4 seconds in my first day of radical racing and my first time ever racing/seeing the Glenn.

Now to push on to licence C class so I can race with you guys this weekend.

Yeah was good crack, glad I broke into to 4's without a draft tho, now I have to try do it again in quali...

You did really we spils to get into the 5's on your first session, some lads whole were racing all last season cant even get into the 5's...
