gonna do a few more TT's and see if i can do the likes of 1.18 and stay on stack constantly before trying a race ,, but tbh even atm i think 1.18 is optimistic for me to be consistant :D

Grab graveys 26 wing setup if you havent aleady Its nice and predictable Its also fast. Its a very balanced set. Its also got the brakes set perfect imo i can brake so much later and heavier with his 26 wing. I finds our very own graveys the best sets to learn with.


That reminds me i need to check his brake setting compared to mine. Ive lost it a few times into Moss locking the brakes since i Tried Chris set. I never did that once on G's set.

lol i just ran my 1st race there and forgot all about set ups , fuel etc, as have just been that used to running the mx5 fixed ^^
anyways finished 3th ( only as there were 4 standing ) with like 10 incidents and 5 laps down, mostly due to spending the whole race limping around due to getting damage from running over a kerb,, man are these cars made from paper ? lol

also where do i find Graveys setups ?
 
First "real" race as i didnt know what the hell was going on in my first race.... and i finish first!!!


Yeppie!! feels awsome!

*edit* and i started back of the gird also haha watched 5 guys crashed out on the first corner ;)

Had the race from hell there lost 12 SR , and spent most time in the pits ....

You didn't do too badly for the first half of the race. I was into the pits on lap 6 already, spend 8 minutes in the pits and then managed to stay on track after that. I was a bit scared to join the race, in the practice sessions I could not string more than 2 laps together without hitting a wall. I just got so frustrated with so many laps in practice that I decided to join and looks like that pulled the concentration together:)

At least I got my SR to 3.48!
 
My race was awful as well, just couldn't do a properly clean lap, dropped back a bit from Chris (after yet another awful start), pushed hard to make up time but spun in T3, brushed the wall which damaged the car and made it evil but no need to pit, back into 2nd before losing it again in the last corner and then the car was done for, couldn't be bothered to wait so just took the SR hit.

Definitely one to forget :p

Both 26 and 17 wing sets available there, not sure if they've gone through anymore iterations though. I'd stay away from the 17 for now, it's quicker over a single lap but not (imo) raceable.

Also worth trying some of the other sets in that thread, all have a slightly different balance that may or may not suit you, personally I get on well with the Paul Thurston sets :)

decided not to start from the pits for once, had a few car contacts though :@
was chasing the 2nd place guy and he was lagging but slower than me , i overtook him down the main street and beat him into the first corner but his lagmobile was warping all over the place and somehow ended up inside my car :(

i though **** it and just floored it out of the corner and somehow it counted as 4x contacts even though i never actually contacted anything but his ghost....

i was then chasing the first place guy and he made a mistake so i ended up right on his gear box, he outbraked himself into turn 1 and i went for the inside but he didnt want to conceed the corner.

it was my only chance to get past though so i hugged the inside as hard as i could and we still contacted sending us both into a spin.

i recovered quickest and won :D

worth the +1r only for the excitment i guess

definetly learnt a lot through starting from the pits and trying to have 0 incidents.

my laptimes are about as fast as i ever managed anyway but im only having 1-2 incidents a race (usually a slight 2 wheels onto the grass) and i feel like im in much more control now and hitting the apex pretty much everytime.

upto 3.79 SR now :)

i think i heard auto promotion is at 4?
 
A few Q's for you guys here.

So how does this scoring system work like touching the grass x1 2x ect...?

If somebody rams you do you get affected in the system?

If it's a really bad shunt caused by a muppet ramming you can you appeal?

Anyways to stop ABS juddering apart from backing of the brake pedal on MX5's my wife is getting upset as our living rooms above the bedroom and using my G27 it makes a heck of a noise!

Can I change camera views or not?
