iRacing

yer that was me, and thats the problem I have brake locking at 100%, with the slightest touch, it happens to me on a G25 it happens to all 3 clutch brake and throttle, all I do first time of loading the game for the day, go to options so you can see the wheel and pedal indicator press all three in one by one clutch brake throttle and depress them all slowly so Iracing can read the travel.

All is good then till I restart my pc, Ive got Iracing set as an application so I just leave open if im going to be playing but even if i close the app the calibration saves till I restart the pc.

Its no issue really something I can live with.

I think ill try deleting the config files,,as never had this issue till lately , like the last few days

might have to give iracing a wide birth soon, gaffer told me and my mate its our last day on site tomorrow, so need to find another job asap or wont be able to afford to run the pc as much...

That's a shame, hope you get something sorted soon :)

I get the same, although I just 'recalibrate' inside the game, so fire up the game either and in the pits I rev it in neutral to sort out the throttle, and then as I leave the pits a couple of full depressions of the brake pedal sorts that out, don't generally bother with the clutch as I only ever use it as an on/off switch anyway :p

does anyone know of any website that lists all the iracing cars and tells you what there handling characteristics etc are like? rather than having to buy something and find you hate it

All cars should be available to test before you buy them. Or you should be able to give the car back for a refund before you've turned 50 laps or something. At least with the tracks you could potentially try them out in another racing sim. But the car physics model is unique to iRacing and therefore you shouldn't have to spend money on cars you end up not liking. I'd give the Skippy back for a refund if I could.

same only bought it to do 4 TT's though

i've just worked out since starting iracing a few months back i've spent £80 on it

just had to get a new track and the classic lotus for my mpr too this is one expensive game but it is fab

Why would you buy a car just to TT ? if this was to rank to D class or c class you can use any of the base cars to do that.

Also just look at the cars tech spec you should be able to work out how it handles from that information really.

Last night i finally got into the grove of going around Zandvoort with out flying of the road at every corner ,,,,
Then this morning my Bodnar cable for my pedals came
http://www.leobodnar.com/products/DFPG25conn/
and pedals seem so much more better now ( hard to imagine them better ) no longer just like on / off with the brakes :D

Would deff recommend it to anyone who has the G25/27 pedals

yep the bodnar lead and nixim mod and them pedals are hard to beat...

Done my first race at Zandvoort in the MX5. Started 13th finished 7th, no inc and did my fastest lap on the last lap to gain an extra place.

Really enjoyed it. It seems to have far more grip than Okayama, or maybe the setup I used is better than the fixed one in rookie.

Just +4 needed for my C Class.
