Hee-Hee Sasso, kids are jut on the way to bed now.

As per previous post, leave wheel at full range in the logitech software, then use the iracing wizard.

@Sasso

These are the settings I use, try them out and let me know what you think.

I then use the profiler setting sin this thread and change the FFB depending on the car and track by the same thread. hope it helps.

thanks cuffy :D I'll have a look through it all now :)

one thing i've just noticed is that when ever i do the steering wizard it only sees 867 degrees, where as when I first set it up it was 904 after the wizard :\ where have my degrees gone? :p

Edit : Double Post

Anyways, another awesome race! Managed 2nd from pole which im chuffed with! was in 3rd for ages then guy in front made a mistake on last lap and hit the wall on first corner lol

noice noice noice :D

after fiddling with some of the basic FFB as per your guide cuffy I knocked my mx5 roadster on the charlotte road down from 1.28.xxx to 1:24.273 ;) FFB is awesome and boosting it from 12% to 42% really gives you a better feel...

once you go FFB, no need for bungee xD

well I'm very happy with my purchase :) kinda gotten used to the pedals a bit. not pushing them away from me constantly on heavy braking like the thrustmasters :p

it's definitely an improvement over the bungee. actually having an adaptive response over just elastic tension. immersion is improved a lot as you wrestle the wheel a bit and fight against it. following that you can get a better idea of when the car is slipping.

also found it's helped me drive in a straight line xD

I'm glad it helped mate, I'm already looking to upgrade my wheel and pedals. Hehe

Practice will make you faster than upgrading your kit will.

Better wheels and pedals make the game more emersive and enjoyable, but they don't really make you faster or the sim any easier.

ay I think my time improvement is probably due more to getting more used to the track and picking up tips. but having the wheel working against my movement in the corners (and when trying to go straight xD) has help my inputs be more precise, IMHO.ee

I feel more confident that moving the wheel where I want translates into the game, where I found with the bungee cord I would undulate a bit trying to hold a straight line. with the thrustmaster there was a bit of slop at the top of the wheel so I'd go to make a small correction and it would be too much as by the time the wheel picks up the movement it's registered a bigger turn that I wanted. but the DFGT seems to have not top slop and picks up every tiniest movement. :)

so i think it can make me faster, but still only to my ability on the track. need to actually improve my braking and driving ;)

but hell... I'd get one now for immersion alone. nuts will tell you I was giggling like a schoolgirl going round the track, loving the feeling.... then screaming my head off as I'd still try and push corners too hard and spin off haha!

indeed, get on ts and linkz!

managed to get to maplin before it closed after sunday lunch and a fun drive from the parents house. unfortunatly they didn't have any component sockets for the 6P6C end from the pedals. they did have some mounted ones but they would require hacking and didn't want to waste the best part of a tenner on something realllllyyy bodged lol. shall order from online instead :)
