Is a Salad Drawer called a Crisper in the UK?

It isn't airtight but at a guess it gets less fresh air so less oxygen to oxidise with the food?

From bottom up :

Salad Drawer
Fresh meats
Sandwich meats and stuff
Yoghurts / cheese / dairy

In the door - milk / OJ / any sauces

Beer should always have its own designated fridge!

Salad drawer/tray here. Surely though, by calling it a 'crisper' one is implying that it's the thing that does the initial crisping.

What's salad and why does it have a drawer. Also never heard the term crisper before... I may use it more often from now on and not in context, at random.

I'm going to put this Xbox Controller is my crisper to keep it charged, after that's done I'll probably pop down to the local takeaway and buy some chips, then put them in my crisper, they taste better that way.

known it as both, i feel dirty when i use the drawer though, it always has rabbit food in .

dont even know why she buys it, she knows i wont touch it!
