You don't have to have either rocks or marshmallows
Couldn't agree more. They just seem completely unable to make a 'balanced' tyre.
Nobody has been asked to make a balanced tyre.
FIA seem unwilling to sanction a balanced tyre.
And all of this, is why I have found NASCAR to be more interesting, even though all they do is turn left..
Watkins Glen, Sears Point/Sonama, Mid-Ohio, Road America and Mosport all say hi
Trucks had 4-5 road courses a year at one point, shame they were taken off the schedule.
Lol. Just 50 posts into an 'Are you happy with F1?' thread and were having a chat about NASCAR.
reintroduce refueling.
remove DRS.
Relax the defensive driving rules so people can actually defend again.
Remove the lapped drivers must pull over rule and instead give them a penalty if they purposely leave the racing line/lift off the throttle
Give them decent tyres
I'd be happy.
racers would be racing
Well, why not? Damned sight more interesting than F1 is right now. Damned sight less dismaying as well

There's a couple of things that I find more interesting in Nascar, not least the crashes which sometimes can be pretty spectacular.
The open radios, in F1 all you get are little snippets that are given to the media by FOM, whereas NASCAR has open radio systems, which means the media can pick up on every little thing (hence the controversy that got Jeff Gordon into the chase). It allows for much more of the personality to come across.
The pit stops, I actually like the fact that stock cars have proper wheel mounts, and that a pit stop takes over 10 seconds most of the time. It mixes things up, unlike F1 where cars barely stop before all the tyres are changed.
Nascar is an event, a spectacle, and is truly for the fans, whereas f1 is about as fan friendly as a rock.
So basically back to the 90s with numbers of overtakes you can count on one hand? No thanks.
On track overtakes in the early 00's was down to an average of less than 1 per driver per race. Races were competed through fuel strategy. The actual act of driving the car was just to join a queue and wait for the next strategic fuel stop
